Responsibilities:

  • Serves as first point of contact to service a high volume of daily interactions, including basic inquiries, providing quotes and scheduling of meetings, with prospective and existing clients on the phone, in-person, virtually and through mailings.
  • Works both independently and within a dynamic team environment to provide crucial support to the financial advisors and branch office.
  • Onboards new clients, opens new client accounts and researches client and security information using internal databases and other technologies.
  • Ensures key client information and documentation is current with firm and industry requirements, rules and regulations.
  • Processes and monitors the transfer of assets to ensure all assets and cost basis were successfully received.
  • Monitors available cash awaiting investment, including running weekly cash and cash equivalent reports and contacting clients with investment opportunities to maximize returns.
  • Reviews, assesses and responds to all corporate action items and client account alerts.
  • Prepares financial reports, spreadsheets and other materials for client meetings.
  • Inputs orders and rebalances portfolios on behalf of the Financial Advisors.
  • Creates and maintains records and files utilizing Client Relationship Management (CRM) software.
  • Assists Financial Advisors with marketing efforts including seminars and other client-facing events.
  • Actively engages in available training/cross-training and educational and/or professional development opportunities to remain current on firm and industry policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Overview

Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are the primary point of contact with our customers. They are the "face" of PLS. As such, they are accountable for delivering superior customer service. They also educate customers on our company products and services. The CSR is accountable for maintaining company quality standards and complying with all policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Providing outstanding customer service to ensure repeat business
  2. Educating our customers on our products and services
  3. Ensuring all transactions are completed in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  4. Following company policies and procedures
  5. Maintaining a balanced cash drawer
  6. Completing all transactions accurately, including cash handling
  7. Using our point-of-sale system to access information and process transactions
  8. Resolving customer complaints or referring complaints to the Store Manager for resolution
  9. Helping to maintain a neat and clean store environment for our customers and team members
  10. Performing other duties as instructed by management
Job Requirements
  • Previous customer service experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail or restaurant is preferred
  • Ability, willingness, and comfort to engage with customers
  • Strong verbal communication
  • Ability to offer products and services to customers based on their needs
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Must be honest and have integrity
  • Able to work flexible hours, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • English fluency is required
  • English/Spanish bilingual is a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. with little assistance
  • Must be able to work in restrictive spaces and maintain concentration in a busy environment with moderate to high noise levels
