About The Opportunity
Our client is a full-service civil litigation defense firm and business partner to the
insurance industry. The firm is seeking dynamic Defense Attorneys' to join its Purchase, NY office.(hybrid schedule available).
Job Description - Purchase, NY (Hybrid)
Multistate insurance defense firm seeks highly motivated defense attorneys to join our
busy Purchase, NY office. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a growing,
dynamic firm with a great working environment and opportunity for advancement. We
are looking for the right candidates to join our team.
Seeking defense attorneys with ANY of the following experience:
- Attorney with 4-8+ years’ experience in medical malpractice defense litigation.
- Attorney with 2-6 years' litigation experience in general liability OR automobile
liability.
- Attorney with 2-5 years' insurance defense litigation experience.
- Attorney with 2-5 years’ experience handling professional liability claims and/or
representing architects and engineers and handling complex construction claims.
- Attorney with 4-8+ years’ experience defending construction accident/New York
Labor Law claims.
Qualification requirements:
- JD from an accredited law school
- Attorney admitted to practice in New York and in good standing or certified for
admission.
- Demonstrated excellence in research, writing, and legal analysis
- Extensive experience conducting and defending depositions
Duties and responsibilities of attorneys include but are not limited to:
- Managing caseload (with oversight by partners depending on experience level)
- Drafting motions, pleadings, and discovery responses
- Research and writing of memorandums
- Reporting to clients
- Attending hearings and court conferences
- Conducting and defending depositions
- Attending site inspections
- Consulting with expert witnesses
- Attending mediations
- Trial preparation and trials

*Compensation: $95,000-$175,000
(commensurate with experience)
