GENERAL SUMMARY: The Radiologic Technologist operates radiologic equipment to produce radiographs in an office setting. The RT also assists with patient care including rooming patients, entering information into electronic medical record, ordering supplies and other job duties as appropriate.

II. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Greets and assists patients, visitors, physicians and other staff members in a polite, prompt, helpful manner.

C. Must remain flexible in work schedule (overtime, evenings, etc.).

D. Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.

E. Complies with federal, state and local legal and professional requirements.

F. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by keeping current licensure.

H. Minimizes radiation to patient and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques, using beam restrictive devices, patient shielding, and knowledge of exposure factors.

I. Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.

Expected activities include, but are not limited to: providing technical advice, serving as the technical interface between the Government customers and the radar & system manufacturers, interacting with customers, participating in meetings, and producing technical detailed products.

Perform technical activities associated with radar waveforms and signal and data processing techniques that provide robust performance in EMI, electronic countermeasure, multipath, ducting, and clutter environments (Note: activities may include, but not limited to: phased array and active aperture antennas, adaptive array processing, digital beam forming, klystron and solid state transmitter technologies, receiver and transmitters stability issues, advanced analog-to-digital (A/D) technology, EMI, EW, digital signal processing including Moving Target Indication (MTI), pulse Doppler, monopulse, imaging, and adaptive techniques, Clutter Map Constant False Alarm Rates, clutter maps, and timing issues).

Assist in accomplishing data processing including centroiding, tracker, timing issues, data loading issues, software; interfaces to combat system and/or automation systems including required data, quantity of data, data merging and integration.

Assist in accomplishing modeling/simulation of radar, targets, and clutter/weather; testing and evaluation of radar system performance including developing test plans and procedures, witnessing tests, and writing test reports for qualification testing, operational field testing, and factory system-level testing.

The Contractor shall provide the following general support for AFLCMC/WA: Attend meetings.

Prepare/present briefings, graphics, and visuals for/to leadership and customers.

Prepare security paperwork (e.g., DD Form 2875, Communications Security (COMSEC) inspection criteria).

Assist in access control and perform escort duties for VTC, briefing, and other visitors.

Answer telephones and other modes of administrative communications in the performance of duties.

Job Purpose

The Additive Manufacturing (AM) Process Lead will drive the development, qualification, and continuous improvement of metal LPBF (Laser Powder Bed Fusion) processes for aero‑engine components.

This position requires strong hands‑on expertise with LPBF equipment, including machine operation, calibration, tuning, and maintenance, as well as experience in parameter development and process optimization.

The Process Lead will support supplier readiness, evaluate/develop Machine/Process Qualification activities, and establish production‑ready AM and post‑processing workflows.

The role requires close coordination with Design, Materials and Quality to meet the milestones for component development, qualification, certification, and future production.

Key Accountabilities

[AM Process Development & Execution]

  • Lead LPBF build setup, execution, and troubleshooting; maintain detailed and traceable build records.

    • Develop and refine LPBF parameter sets using DOE and data‑driven approaches.
    • Conduct engineering tests and verification builds using the PDCA cycle.
    • Support in‑situ monitoring/simulation data interpretation and correlation with part quality.
    • Analyse build failures systematically and implement corrective/preventive actions.
    • Operate auxiliary equipment such as EDM, heat treatment furnace, CNC machines, and metrology equipment as needed.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience.

 

Minimum Experience:

Must‑Have Skills

  • Hands‑on experience (5+ years) with metal LPBF EOS M400-4 or M290 systems, including build setup, operation, powder handling, and troubleshooting.
  • Capability to perform LPBF machine tuning (e.g., optical‑related adjustments such as laser alignment, scan‑field/beam‑offset checks, Z‑axis/recoater verification).
  • LPBF parameter development, including DOE‑based optimization (e.g., diagnosing root causes related to laser performance, recoating behaviour, powder spreading, thermal distortion, scan strategy).

Preferred but not required (Want):

  • Powder quality evaluation and NDT/CT/inspection workflows.
  • In‑situ monitoring/process simulation or thermal/optical process data.
  • Participating in equipment installation, SAT/FAT, or facility preparation.
  • Supporting supplier technical assessments or capability reviews.

  • Ability to interpret and create engineering drawings, including GD&T understanding, tolerances, and manufacturability considerations.

  • Solid analytical skills to support test planning, data interpretation, and preparation of technical reports.
  • Ability to organize and execute assigned project tasks, track schedules, and contribute to issue resolution in cross‑functional teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain detailed records, and ensure process traceability.

  • Knowledge of aerospace quality frameworks or certification concepts:
    • AS9100
    • FAA Certification / AC35.15-3
  • Familiarity with AM build preparation software.
  • Familiarity with internal calibration and verification procedures for AM machine.
  • Experience with Material Qualification or Part Qualification.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to lift >25lbs.
  • Respiratory PPE is required for metal powder handling.
  • Some domestic and international travel is expected for training and conferences.
  • Frequent evening remote meetings with Japan and Europe is expected.
  • OT may be allowed ~5 hrs/week.

Summary

As an Optics Technician, you will assemble optical beams and optical assemblies, perform optical alignment, calibration and verification testing for optical subassemblies and finished instruments in accordance with manufacturing documentation (assembly instructions, process documents, etc.) using a variety of hand tools, measuring devices and test equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Own the production queue across optical subassembly build, alignment, end-of-line verification, and documentation review.
  • Assemble optical beams and assemblies (per drawings, job travelers, and work instructions (WIs).
  • Install and align optical components to meet acceptance criteria using alignment fixtures and optical test equipment (e.g., power meters, microscopes) and documented procedures
  • Execute instrument calibration at build and test stations; perform re-alignment of optic assemblies if required.
  • Evaluate data vs. acceptance criteria and flag out-of-spec results; partner with engineering on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions (rework plans, containment, prevention).
  • Review and sign off on manufacturing records, job travelers, and alignment logs; ensure objective evidence is complete and traceable.
  • Own cleaning and preventive maintenance routines for optical benches/test fixtures and production equipment to maintain repeatability and throughput.
  • Partner with operations and engineers to improve WIs and visual standards (fixtures, checklists, go/no-go criteria, data review templates) to drive yield and reduce variation.
  • Operate under ISO9001 expectations and support audits by providing objective evidence and clear traceability.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years in optics/photonics assembly, precision instrumentation production, Electronics or related industry
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. AA/AS or BS in Optics/Photonics/Engineering Technology or related technical discipline strongly preferred.
  • Experience using standard hand tools - allen wrenches, screw drivers, cutters, etc.
  • Familiarity with computers as applicable to manufacturing
  • Experience with standard Microsoft office tools; Python experience a plus.
  • Possess a quality minded work ethic and strong attention to detail
  • Interface in a collaborative manner to foster effective and inspiring group dynamics
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, often for most of the workday
  • Requires good manual dexterity and the ability to use hands and arms to hold, control, or feel objects, with tasks like soldering, crimping, and fabricating parts

Physical Requirements

When working in the machine shop, chemistry lab, or optics lab, appropriate protective gear must be worn, including safety glasses, laser/UV eye protection, lab coats, and closed-toed shoes. Role requires fine motor skills for handling small components and the ability to work at a bench/test station for extended periods (sit and/or standing). Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects, often up to 50 pounds, though the frequency of lifting heavier objects varies

Position Summary:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for design on multiple projects, directing and/or leading other design professionals within their discipline, and working with other design disciplines internal and external to PEC to develop engineering solutions for PEC’s Clients. This position will be responsible for providing design deliverables for a variety of projects, while maintaining PEC’s standard of excellence. This position utilizes BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based calculations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for project completion in accordance with qualify assurance policies, standards and project specifications
  • Prepare and review engineering plans and drawings
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and feasibility studies
  • Performs and/or directs engineering design, coordination with other design staff for construction document and specification production in compliance with building codes, construction administration, and development of reports/studies
  • Serves as an advisor to the Project Manager, identifying and communicating any potential risk to the project in a timely fashion
  • Performs and/or directs design computations by hand and by computer software
  • Uses experience, education, and judgement to make informed decisions. Retains knowledge and builds on previous experiences to increase capabilities in breadth and complexity
  • Organizes multiple projects and tasks and completes them in a timely manner, on schedule, and per PEC Standards. Oversees tasks that have been delegated to other engineers and support staff
  • Effectively communicates and coordinates with the Design Team to complete design tasks on numerous projects

  • Participates in business development activities to include developing and maintaining relationships with clients
