What You’ll Do

The successful individual will need to be able to work independently and will lead a high volume of legal assignments and complex, cross-functional legal initiatives, including contracting, legal research, compliance matters, disputes, M&A, employment matters, litigation, corporate governance, and special projects. In addition, the responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • While collaborating directly with our business teams you will be:
  • Drafting, negotiating, and managing customer contracts, commercial partnership contracts, licensing agreements, channel marketing agreements, and complex vendor agreements;
  • Advising on and optimizing legal risk, product, commercial and compliance considerations, while suggesting creative, business-supportive solutions;
  • Operating as first-level review of privacy policies, terms, user agreements, and ensuring they are aligned with product strategy and anticipated use cases;
  • Issue-spotting potential legal challenges, and running them to ground; and
  • Proactively identifying and anticipating emerging legal and regulatory issues that might impact our products and services.
  • Additional duties include:
  • Creating and updating template agreements, and supporting the continuous improvement of contractual standards in response to changes in law and the organization’s business needs;
  • Spotting potential privacy issues and, working with our Data Privacy team and counsel, provide business-oriented resolutions;
  • Collaborating with IP counsel on patent and other IP related matters;
  • Assisting with mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions including due diligence, transaction documentation, and post-closing integration support;
  • Assisting with litigation matters, and other regulatory or stakeholder disputes;
  • Assisting with employment matters, as needed;
  • Managing outside counsel, as required;
  • Developing strong collaborative working relationships with colleagues, and business stakeholders;
  • Supporting the Associate General Counsel with day-to-day legal management and workflow;
  • Supporting other legal team leaders with special projects, as needed;
  • Handling fire drills.

What we're looking for

  • JD from an accredited law school and in good standing with a state bar association;
  • 5+ years as a practicing attorney with an emphasis on contracting matters and/or prior experience as a product counsel at a technology-focused organization;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a simple, understandable manner with colleagues of varying legal knowledge across the company;
  • Ability to work well in time-sensitive situations and fast-paced environments; and effectively manage multiple projects or matters with competing deadlines;

Job Summary and Qualifications

Performs direct patient care within the scope of the nurse practice act, as it applies to the outcomes and process in the Valve Clinic. Plans, coordinates and implements the care of the valve patient in the outpatient setting. Scope of the role includes acting as a liaison with physicians, patient/families and ancillary departments. Assessment of financial, medica land social resources of current and potential valve program patients in conjunction with the research team. Coordination of information flow among the medical, nursing, and financial and research staff as appropriate. Development and implement a teaching plan with the patient and family. To include lab valves, medication overview and diagnosis related information. Assist the research team in the coordination of patient charts, diagnostic studies and other applicable information per protocol.  

What you will do:


  • Work with supervisor to plan, coordinate, and implement care of the valve patients in the outpatient clinic. 

  • Review clinical progress of patients and coordinates communications to referring, valve and primary care physicians along with the research team. 
  • Plan, organize and provide direct care to the valve patient. 

  • Facilitate the development of a patient specific teaching plan. 

  • Review patient’s current health information, relay information and make referrals as necessary to the physician and research partners. 

  • Serve as a resource for the hospital staff regarding the care of the valve patient. 

  • Educate patient and families regarding planned procedures, medications and treatments. 

  • Make referral as appropriate as noted by the physician 
  • Coordinate information among: 

  1. Referring, primary care and valve clinic physicians
  2. Research team 
  3. Ancillary departments 

  • Answer patient/family phone calls, field questions appropriately 

  • Participate in creating an environment that implements the mission, vision, and values of the organization 

  • Encourages collegiality when integrating valve services with other departments. 

  • Responsible for full nursing assessment of clinic patients, including documentation of vital signs, sign and symptoms of disease process, NYHA and angina class.

A few details about the role:

  • Direct nursing services to all residents on assigned room under the supervision of a registered nurse.
  • Provides hands-on/on-the-job training to newly hired team members. Provides skill set retraining as assigned by supervisor. Supervise and provide leadership and discipline to clinical and non-clinical team members.
  • Oversee physician orders, verify all orders received are transcribed accurately onto the electronic record system and treatment plan, administer medications, and provide treatments according to orders.
  • Participate with members of the interdisciplinary team to review, plan, coordinate and evaluate resident’s care.
  • Documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs accurately and in a timely manner. Reports pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents in a timely manner.
  • Develop, direct, and monitor nursing assistant assignments based on census and level of care required.
  • According to standard operating procedures, ensure correct staffing levels. Escalate team member performance issues to supervisor, participate in counseling and disciplinary action to the extent permitted by the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Generate, prepare, administrate, and chart all medications. Execute treatments as necessary while document status and observes reactions to medications and treatments
  • Facilitate communication with families regarding change in medications and/or changes in the resident.

  • Licensed Practical Nurse graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • One year of nursing experience in a long-term facility is preferred.
  • Supervisory/leadership in a long-term care facility preferred.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a CT Technologist (CT Tech) you will perform CT scans and take x-rays according to the standards and practices set forth by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, the American College of Radiology and the Texas Medical Board to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Computed Tomography procedures to demonstrate cross-sectional anatomical images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. 

  • You will demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, disease processes and functions, patient care, positioning, principles of radiographic sciences, radiation protection and specialized techniques. 
  • You will verify written order matches requisition prior to performing exam. 
  • You will follow appropriate protocol for the exam ordered. 
  • You will administer contrast material using proper technique. 
  • You will enter appropriate charges and review for accuracy in the RIS. 
  • You will correlate patient’s clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by the radiologist. 
  • You will manage patient flow to ensure that exams are prioritized appropriately and performed efficiently. 

Job Requirements 

Experience 

  • One year experience as a CT Tech – preferred. 

Education 

  • Graduate from a school of Radiologic Technology approved by the American Medical Association 

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) certification with Texas Medical Board (TMB) 
  • Current certification as Basic Life Support provider 
  • Certified in Radiology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (R)) 
  • Certified in CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT (CT))
