Remote Per Diem Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity - Hudson/Newington/Somersworth, NH HCRC (Health Care Resource Centers) services is dedicated to providing individualized treatment integrating pharmacotherapy, clinical counseling, recovery support and medical services. - Assist in admitting patients for Methadone and Buprenorphine Treatment.
- To obtain a history and physical exam.
- Documentation into the EMR, entering orders for methadone dosing in the EMR or writing a buprenorphine prescription (soon this will be electronic, but we currently have a waiver to use written scripts while we are moving to a new EMR).
- To authorize and supervise dispensing of daily narcotic replacement therapy and other medication by medical staff in the Medical Director?s absence.
- Consistently monitoring patient dosages in conjunction with the Program Physician/Medical Director, Treatment Center Director, Counselors and Dosing Nurses.
- Other related duties as determined by supervisor
Qualifications | Education | Certifications:
- Must be licensed in the state of New Hampshire
- Six-Months of Addiction Medicine/MAT treatment required
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
- Must be able to interact compassionately with a diverse population

Job Summary The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant provides health care services to patients under the direction and responsibility of a physician.Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Patient/Client Care
- Examines patient and performs comprehensive physical examination. Compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination. Refers to physician as needed.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interprets test results for deviation from normal
- Prescribes medications following strict protocols established by contractual agreements
- Confers with patient's private physician(s) as needed
- Counsels patients and helps them understand their limitations and abilities
- Acts as a resource person for decisions, planning, and policies affecting the health of patients and staff
- Serves as a clinic in-service resource
- Oversees the continuum of care process for their patients
- Provides patient education specific to various disease processes
- Maintains patient, employee, and computer confidentiality
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
- Must be currently licensed in the state of employment/practice
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check

On-Call Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opportunity!

Essential Roles and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of various substances of abuse, the disease of addiction and signs and symptoms of detoxification
- Collects and records data such as complete HPI and Assessment and Plan for each patient in a comprehensive, accurate and systemic manner.
- Counsels patients and helps them understand their limitations and abilities
- Documents patient progress/ regress according to established policies and procedures during appointments or upon notification of change in status from clinical coordinator or treatment center director.
- Supervising and instructing patients in oral medication self-administration and health education as needed
- Knowledge of program policies and procedures
Qualifications | Education | Certifications:
- Must be licensed in the state of Tennessee
- Experience in MAT/Addiction/Substance Abuse Treatment is preferred by not required
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
