As a Client Platform Engineer, you will be a part of our IT and Security team. Your work will have a key impact on the development of Reliable Robotic's internal infrastructure and processes. You will work as part of the IT and Security team towards building, deploying and managing tools. You will be working on building or improving existing automation to support standardization efforts, with a focus on end-user facing endpoints.
Responsibilities
In your role as a Client Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation of tools supporting the business internal needs and standards, as well as support of the IT related needs of our end-users. You will be involved in the design and implementation of tools and their supporting infrastructure, to improve the daily experience of our users across the entire business. This will include managing SaaS services, managing physical infrastructure, and cloud infrastructure to support the needs of the teams at Reliable. You will be responsible for identifying additional opportunities for standardization, improvement of the user experience, and training various teams, including the IT/Security teams you will be working on, for redundancy when new tooling is introduced.
Basic Success Criteria
5+ years of experience supporting business needs in IT
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Basic networking skills and understanding of basic network services (vlan/routing/wifi/dhcp/dns/etc)
Previous management of in-office infrastructure (wifi, printing, etc)
Experience with MDM platforms to manage Apple devices (macOS, iOS, iPadOS) and Windows 11 devices
Experience with configuration management systems such as Puppet (preferred), Chef or Ansible
Scripting skills in various languages (Python, bash, powershell)
Understanding of SSL certificates, and PKI infrastructure
Preferred Success Criteria
Ability to explain complex concepts to users or colleagues
Ability to troubleshoot problems remotely (over Slack, Google Meet, or others)
Familiarity with Google Workspace management (access and management of Google services, integration of Google with other services, and the security mechanisms available in those environments)

As a Sr. Hardware Test Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a critical part of the Hardware Test team. This is a small team of broadly experienced engineers that strive to ensure that all hardware being produced meets the stringent requirements for aviation. You will be one of the essential interfaces between the design, production, and flight test teams and will be exposed to a wide variety of technical challenges.
You will be architecting automated test stands to replicate extreme flight conditions on our hardware and mechanisms that will serve as the backbone of our qualification testing. You will help to break our development hardware, help root-cause the failure modes, and provide critical input in redesigning it. You will be writing the software and building the hardware platforms for the command, control and data collection systems that will test our systems to rigorous aerospace standards. Responsibilities
Full ownership of the design, build, and maintenance of mechanical or electrical test stands for development testing, production acceptance testing, functional and environmental qualification testing
Automate the repetitive aspects of the test stands
Author, execute, and audit test plans, procedures, and reports

Basic Success Criteria
B.S. Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience

Professional knowledge of ECAD tools such as Altium OR MCAD tools such as NX

As a Sr. Harness Engineer at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Vehicle Design and Integration team and will report to the Vehicle Design and Integration Engineering Manager. The harness engineer is a very cross-functional role at the convergence of the avionics, mechanical, integration, and production teams, with significant hands-on work designing, building, integrating, and testing our harnesses, enclosures, and mounting hardware; expect to broaden your design and application experience. This position can be filled locally or hybrid with frequent travel to our facility in Mountain View, California.
Responsibilities
In your role as Sr. Harness Engineer you will work with the avionics, mechanical, and integration teams to define the harness architecture, including routing, bulkhead planning, and manufacturing and integration processes. You'll be responsible for the detailed design of both flight and test harnesses, and you'll be working with the production technicians and A&Ps to get the harnesses built and installed on the aircraft. You'll have the opportunity to design, install, and test your hardware on a remotely operated aircraft, and you'll be an instrumental part of how our hardware teams come together on the airplane.
Basic Success Criteria
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
5+ years experience in electrical harness design
Ability to route harnessing (both in CAD and physically in the airplane) in a strategic manner
Experience defining routing and bulkhead requirements
Experience working with connectors, backshells, EMI shielding, and cable/wire protection methods
A love of spatial packaging
Be logical, inquisitive, and eager to both teach and learn
Preferred Criteria
8+ years experience in harness design and avionics packaging
Experience performing design trades for and detail design of aerospace flight harnesses
Experience with NX routing and Capital Harness Designer
Experience working with safety critical hardware
Experience working on certification-path aviation development projects
