Exceptional Locum Tenens Endocrinologist Opportunity with Locums, Inc.!Our latest Locum Tenens assignment is in the Norwich, CT area for a full-time Endocrinologist with an outpatient clinic attached to the Backus Hospital.
The facility needs coverage from January to April of 2021 due to maternity leave start and end dates flexible.
Position is fully on-site with no telemedicine.

Job Summary
Performs as a clinically competent practitioner of respiratory care. Provides respiratory care to patients with minimal guidance.
Performs the therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities which affect the cardiopulmonary system and associated aspects of other system functions.
Administers respiratory therapy to include administering oxygen and other medical gases, aerosolized medications, positive pressure breathing devices, ventilators, resuscitation devices, etc. Performs pulmonary diagnostic procedures and assessments. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatments and care.
Demonstrates efficiency across clinical/critical care settings to provide quality service to patient care units through communication, cooperation and collaboration with heath care team.
Participates in additional training and/or certification courses to develop expertise and skills to become certified to work in specialized clinical areas.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor Degree from an AMA approved Respiratory program
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) granted by The National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
- State of CT Respiratory Care Practitioner license required
- BLS certification required

Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant needed for a full-time Cardiology position. TheAPP provider will work at 2 sites - inpatient (Norwich) and outpatient (Willimantic). Experienced cardiology providers and new grad APPs with 3+ years of prior cardiology experience will be considered. Hiring as of 8/24/2025.
Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Roles | Responsibilities:
- Willimantic Outpatient: Work alongside several cardiology Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, and Cardiologists in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Norwich Inpatient: Provide inpatient cardiology care, consults, follow-ups, at Backus Hospital.
- Work through several areas of cardiology - EP, Clinic, Stress Testing, Coumadin.
- Provide comprehensive cardiology management care to patients in both settings.
- Perform history and exams, prescribe medication as required or directed.
- Refer patients to specialists within the group as required.
- Provide education to patients and family members as necessary.
Days / Hours / Compensation / Benefits:

Job Summary
Provide service and support before, during, and after surgical procedures. Ensures the presence and proper arrangement of surgical equipment and supplies in the operating room to each operation; assists the surgeon during the operation as allowed by professional and legal standards; and assists with cleaning operating room after the operation ensuring proper routing of equipment, and used material.
Qualifications
- Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technician program required
- Must be certified through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or able to obtain CST certification within 6 months
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS)
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
- Strict adherence to policies and regulations regarding maintenance of sterile field required.
- Knowledge and practice of basic care and patient safety concepts.
- Application of the principles of asepsis in a manner that provides optimal patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Knowledge of name and function of surgical equipment and instrumentation required.
- Knowledge of various surgical procedures with the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgeon.
- Maintains certification by participating in continuing education activities.
