As a Wegmans Security Officer, you will be part of the team of individuals who provide a safe environment throughout our corporate, distribution and manufacturing facilities. What will I do?
- Respond to emergency situations providing clear, calm, and decisive direction while providing medical care to the appropriate level of training/certification as needed
- Manage access control; verify that vendors, contractors, and other visitors have a business purpose to be on site
- Protect company property, corporate assets and the welfare and safety of employees, visitors and vendors while maintaining a strong emphasis on customer service
- Proactively patrol the buildings and grounds of the complex and perform preliminary investigations involving safety and security events as necessary
Required Qualifications
- 2 or more years of related experience
- Technical aptitude with advanced computer skills
- Experience utilizing good judgement to effectively communicate and manage conflict in stressful situations that protect the well-being of others
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
- Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
- Certified in CPR, AED, and FAC
- Military, Security, Loss Prevention or Asset Protection experience
- Emergency response training/experience

PRIMARY PURPOSE
CNA is hiring for the role of part-time Security Guard / Facilities Escort for weekends and holidays. This position is part of the Chief Security Office and is responsible for physical and data security at CNA headquarters with 24/7 security presence, to include front desk staffing, roving patrols and escorting. JOB REQUIREMENTS

2. Experience: Minimum 2 years relevant experience with high-level security experience on DOD or military site preferred. Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) certification preferred.

The Security Officer is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, safety, and security of assets, property, team members, clients, and all visitors at all United Wholesale Mortgage locations.
This Security Officer will use various telecommunications devices to call for assistance from fire fighters, police forces, and emergency medical services. They will provide general emergency care for team members and respond to medical emergencies.
The Security Officer will also interview witnesses or victims to prepare case reports and testify in court if necessary.
What You Will Be Doing- Provide any needed assistance to customers, team members, and visitors
- Perform security patrols by foot and/or by company vehicle
- The protection of individuals and their property while controlling access to the premises
- Neutralize situations calmly with tact and common sense
- Watch for safety and protect property from fire hazards, trespassing, and other security-related situations

Must Have Qualifications:

Municipal Protective Services (MPS) Operations is a 24/7, 365-day operation supporting over 600 City of Boston properties and facilities - maintaining radio communications and operations for MPS Security Officers and Supervisors, and monitoring intrusion and fire alarms across all City of Boston, Boston Public Schools, and Boston Public Library locations.
The City of Boston Property Management Department's (PMD) mission is to manage, maintain, repair, and provide security for the City's municipal buildings, including City Hall and Faneuil Hall; to preserve the useful life of City facilities and reduce operating costs through effective preventative maintenance measures.
Responsibilities- Processes incoming and outgoing emergency and non-emergency signals from alarm monitoring software consistent with established protocols and procedures.
- Provides clear and relevant information to field and operations personnel in response to received alarm signals or calls.

- Must complete training initiatives and certifications for call receiving and dispatching within six months of hire, including Emergency Telecommunicator Certification (ETC) through the National Academies of Emergency Dispatch (NAED) and CPR Certification.
- The ability to operate various technologies, including modern computers, radio & telephone systems, and monitoring software such as SIS Alarm Center.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a busy and fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing demands on time.
- The ability to quickly process information from multiple sources (verbal, text, and video), keep information clear, make quick decisions based on minimal information, and accurately recall information on demand, especially names, numbers, and incident details.

Assigned duties will include:
- Facilitate access to NASSCO properties at pedestrian gates, delivery gates, corporate offices, and warehouses
- Interact with visitors and employees, provide directions and respond to inquiries
- Screen and bag check of incoming and departing employees and visitors
- Screen commercial and industrial deliveries
- Patrol duties, both foot and vehicle
- Enforce GD NASSCO parking rules and regulations
- Staff regular and emergency telephone system
- Dispatch medical services, fire department, ambulance service and law enforcement agencies, assist responding agencies with facility entrance
- Monitor surveillance cameras and review archived footage
- Document all incidents in objective and comprehensive reports
- Other responsibilities and duties as assigned
High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess valid California Guard Card or P.O.S.T certificate
Be proficient in the English language (i.e. able to read, write, speak, and comprehend)
Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
Excellent customer service skills
Experience in the following computer programs: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and basic understanding of computer operations
Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive company vehicles and golf carts
Must be open to a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
Must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance per the GD NASSCO grooming standards
Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
Occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, and ramps

This pay range is a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role.
