We seek an experienced and proactive Environmental Specialist to lead environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and sustainability efforts across our site. • Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in environmental compliance in an industrial, manufacturing, or municipal setting.
• Certifications:
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA, and TSCA.
  • Certification in environmental compliance (e.g., CHMM, REM) is a plus.
  • Experience with ODS compliance and leak detection programs is desirable.

The Inventory Technician is responsible for performing routine tasks at a customer site to support inventory management and operational efficiency. This role involves handling consumables, chemicals, samples, and other materials while ensuring compliance and regulatory requirements.

In this role you will:

• Facilitate orders for consumable lab inventory replenishment and ensure timely restocking at point-of-use locations.

• Receive and process inbound shipments from carriers such as UPS, FedEx, and others.

• Manage and maintain customer stockroom inventory, including daily replenishment across the site.

• Handle chemicals and hazardous materials in compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards.

• Maintain and inspect safety stations to ensure readiness and compliance.

The team

Avantor's Lab Furniture Sales team works within the matrix of general sales representatives, supply partners, operations, project managers, and customer service teams to deliver complete furniture solutions. This includes going from concept to installation of laboratory furnishings in renovations, expansions, tenant improvements, or similar projects. Other providers can deliver a lab, but delivering one that is versatile, flexible, and ready for science, takes a foundation and expertise that can be uniquely found here at Avantor and within your team.

Avantor works with a preferred supplier list and will take the initiative to engage with recruitment agencies based on its needs and will not be accepting any form of solicitation.
