While applying technical civil engineering knowledge and skills, this engineering position will: Provide engineering design and project management services for municipal engineering including sewer, water, storm water, and other municipal services within Washoe County and the surrounding region.
Provide engineering design and project management services for Civic, institutional, and other public facility developments (Site, Grading, Utility plans, specifications, estimates and construction administration) within Washoe County and the surrounding region.
Develop relationships with and secure project work and service contracts with clients.
Manage clients and client projects while providing responsive communications, professional services, and delivering quality projects to multiple clients.
Participate in all phases of project development, design, and construction.
Analyze engineering data, interpret plans and specifications, and make sound decisions to solve challenges.
Collaborate with other engineers, planners, and public agencies on projects.
Collaborate with engineers and planners for reports, design, and construction phase services for various private and public agency projects.
Coordination and support of projects on multi-disciplinary projects throughout the company.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering.
Certification as Professional Engineer (P.E.).
6-10 years of qualified experience.

Job Summary
The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for an open rank, non-tenure track Associate Academic Professional, Academic Professional, Senior Academic Professional, Professional faculty position. This position will coordinate laboratory sections of the introductory Habitable Planet course (EAS 1601) that serves 500 undergraduate students per academic year and will teach upper-level undergraduate meteorology courses. Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain laboratory exercises and equipment for the introductory "Habitable Planet" course (EAS 1601).
- Supervise and train teaching assistants for "Habitable Planet" course (EAS 1601) each semester.
- Provide instruction for upper-level undergraduate meteorology courses, depending on the candidate's expertise and curricular needs (see undergraduate-courses).

Preferred Qualifications
The ideal candidates will have experience in the following:
- Strong organizational, management, and leadership skills (e.g., hosting TA meetings, addressing challenging lab student scenarios, and timely replies to emails).
- Ability to develop and teach quantitatively and computationally intensive meteorology and atmospheric sciences content, in particular topics that pertain to one or more of the following undergraduate courses: EAS 2551 Introduction to Meteorological Analysis, EAS 4440 Mesoscale Meteorology, EAS 4450 Synoptic Meteorology, EAS 4460 Satellite and Radar Meteorology, EAS 4655 Atmospheric Dynamics, EAS 4656 Atmospheric Dynamics Lab, EAS 4670 Atmospheric Dynamics II (see undergraduate-courses for current syllabi).
- Experience and/or training in implementation of high impact teaching practices.
- Experience using Canvas or equivalent course website software.
- The ability to teach and mentor a student body

Responsibilities:
We're looking for a design/construction-focused Instrumentation / Fire Alarm Engineer who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. Join us and you'll have the chance to work on projects including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities.
- Design/construction-focused Instrumentation / Fire Alarm Engineer working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business, including state-of-the-art industrial and commercial facilities.
- Accountable for schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks while gaining familiarity with the client's expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
- Provide on-site assistance during startup, coordinate work activities with other staff members and the discipline lead.
- Produce designs for electrical circuits and panels utilizing control applications.
- Design control systems for a variety of processes and develop options/optimizations for all aspects of process control, instrumentation, and automation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited program in Electrical, Fire Protection, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- At least 4 years of experience working with Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / Life Safety Systems (LSS).
- Ability to generate complete I&C/LSS design packages (e.g. P&IDs, I/O lists, wiring diagrams, control narratives, etc.) with minimal supervision/oversight.
- Working knowledge of PLC, DCS, and other controls applications.
- Working knowledge of Fire Alarm and Life Safety System regulations/requirements.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Fire Alarm System NICET Certification.
- Experience related to semiconductor fabrication facilities.
- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications.
- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Navisworks software.
- Working knowledge of UL 508A for industrial control panel design.
- Working knowledge of NFPA 72 for fire alarm and signaling code.
- Familiarity with Siemens PLC systems.
- Familiarity with Edwards EST3 and EST4 Fire Alarm Control Systems.
