The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Design & Analysis Engineer to become part of Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Vehicle Management System (VMS) team in Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO.

You will enable the VMS organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed-Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead major design activities for hardware/software products

• Mentor junior engineers in design practices and processes; oversee the quality of their work products

• Develop architectures for test systems

• Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs

• Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting

• Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software

• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

• Solve problems concerning fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle

• Interface with programs/customers in developing requirements, in establishing statements of work, and in providing status and performance

• Develop estimates for new work by gathering data from other BT&E partners and from team actuals

• Develop detailed schedules and drive team performance to meet schedules

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

• 9 years of experience with avionics testing and integration

• 3 years of experience with test station design or test system design

• 3 years of experience with the development of Flight Controls or Flight Controls Systems such as Flight Control Computers/Vehicle Management System Computers, Actuators, Air Data Probes, and Navigation Systems

• Experience preparing test plans, writing test procedures, and performing tests to gather artifacts

Job Purpose

Maintain operation of environmental air quality control while maintaining Federal, State and Corporate requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Promote communication, resources and leadership for effective operation of plant scrubbers and dust collection systems
• Coach and develop personnel
• Maintain and improve emission control systems, to include hands on troubleshooting of equipment with technicians

This role is critical in ensuring that all incoming materials and components meet our stringent quality standards, thereby supporting smooth production operations and maintaining product excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Chemical IQC
2. Be able to independently perform detailed chemical analysis of raw materials.
3. Independently operate: GC, Karl Fisher Analysis, ICP, C-S Analyzer, BET, LPS, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

Job Overview

• We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance automation systems within our Injection Molding facility.
• The role involves developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing control systems for injection Molding machines, auxiliaries, and related automation to ensure high efficiency, quality, and reliability of production.
• Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain PLC/HMI/SCADA-based control systems for injection Moulding machines and auxiliary equipment (robots, dryers, chillers, conveyors, etc.).
• Troubleshoot electrical and automation issues to minimize downtime.
• Program and modify PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.) and HMIs to improve cycle times, efficiency, and safety.
• Vision systems (Cognex, Keyence, Omron, Sick, Basler, OpenCV-based solutions) for inspection and defect detection.
• Integrated vision inspection systems for in-line defect detection, dimensional accuracy, and traceability.
• Integrate new machines, robotics, and automation equipment into existing systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company policies.
• Collaborate with maintenance, production, and quality teams to resolve automation and process-related issues.
• Provide documentation (wiring diagrams, control logic, program backups, change logs).
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities for automation systems.
• Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives such as Industry 4.0/IIoT integration, data acquisition, and energy optimization.
• Train technicians and operators on control system functionalities and troubleshooting.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in automation/controls engineering, preferably in plastics or injection Moulding industry.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, or similar).
• Familiarity with robotics (Fanuc robot, SCARA robot or similar) and integration with Moulding machines.
• Strong knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, OPC-UA).
• Experience with SCADA, HMI development, and data logging systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical schematics, motor controls, VFDs, and safety circuits.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Preferred (Nice-to-Have)
• Experience in injection Moulding process optimization (cycle time reduction, scrap reduction).
• Knowledge of Industry 4.0, MES, or IIoT platforms.
• Exposure to vision systems and quality inspection automation.

The Role We Want You For

As a Project Manager with SEI, you will be based on the construction project site. In this role you will be responsible for project staff to lead the project in overall project execution, quality, safety, and schedule of various scopes. The Specifics of the Role

• Establish and execute the budget, timeline, quality control plan, and overall project execution plan.
• Coordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics plan.

• Contract management for installation subcontractors.
• Manage the subcontractor buyout process.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of productivity tracking and industry standard production rates.
• Previous experience with set-up, budget planning, buyout, and cost reporting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction principles, practices, and technology.
• Previous experience leading a successful project management team.

You will enable the VMS organization to continue to advance its technologies in support of our Phantom Works and Fixed-Wing programs. The team is responsible for developing integration test assets, real-time software test environments, subsystem/system testing, and evaluating system performance in simulation lab environment. Simulation and modeling are utilized to assist in requirements development, software and hardware development, and equipment verification and validation.

Position Responsibilities:

• Develop electrical schematics and designs for cabling, test hardware, and/or test stations

• Select components for hardware designs and support the procurement and fabrication of hardware designs

• Integrate hardware systems and/or software together in a test setting

• Operate complex test stations, electronic test equipment, and test software

• Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
