ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below:
- Assures all program participants receive scheduled occupational therapy treatments and documents therapy sessions.
- Performs active, passive and/or resistive therapeutic exercises, general therapy principles on program participants.
- Demonstrates knowledge of indications and contra-indications of heating modalities and techniques.
- Fabricates appropriate splints under instruction of occupational therapist and instructs program participant in splint wear and care.
- Trains program participants in homebound and community level, including endurance training.
- Maintains a good working knowledge of occupational therapy equipment and therapeutic exercise treatments.
- Confers with staff members and other health care members to exchange, discuss and evaluate program participant information for modifying and coordinating current treatment program and participates in treatment planning with trans-disciplinary team as requested. Adheres to ethics of confidentiality.
- Takes inventory of current occupational therapy equipment and confers with department regarding current status and future needs. Requests supplies as needed.
- Maintains or checks daily billing logs for program participants.
- Follows daily scheduling patterns, communicates with staff, and adjusts schedules as needed for flexibility.
- Performs other related duties and activities as required.
Minimum Knowledge and Skills required by the Job

- High School Diploma and graduate of an accredited COTA program with A.A.S. in OT

ABOUT THE POSITION:
The Career Readiness Manager at Urban Dove is tasked with leading the successful execution of Urban Dove’s Career Readiness Programs, reporting directly to the Director of College and Career Readiness. This role encompasses managing up to ten staff members, overseeing the Career Readiness curriculum, and coordinating internship opportunities. Urban Dove Team Charter School (UD Team) is a distinctive network of sports-based high schools catering to over-aged, under-credited youth. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Career Readiness program, including workshops, school-based internships, and HiRisers after-school program and summer camp.
- Oversee the Career Readiness Associates and HiRisers youth staff, and coordinate with staff supervising interns.
- Evaluate and enhance Career Readiness workshops, events, and professional development for Career Readiness staff.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and address performance issues, focusing on improvement.
- Develop and update the career readiness curriculum and track workforce development data.

The clinician will interpret studies across all pediatric imaging modalities including plain films, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and perform fluoroscopy procedures. Daily volume expectations range from 25-30 RVUs with focus on pediatric cases requiring specialized interpretation expertise.
