Position Summary:
Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patients’ respiratory status, and plan of care. Functions independently in all areas of the organization. The Respiratory Therapist is expected to uphold the most ethical and safe processes while keeping the care of the patient as a top priority. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
License: Current Illinois State License as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Education: Completion of CoARC approved program in Respiratory Care required.
Credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS) required to work in Level III NICU after March 7, 2026.
Certifications:
CPR
ACLS required within 6 months of employment.
PALS required within 12 months of employment.
NRP required for all staff working in NICU III within 3 months of employment

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Lead biocompatibility, and safety programs, as well as strategy development aligned with ISO 10993 and global device and pharma regulatory requirements.
