Job summary:
It is the goal of MHS to provide access to acute care services to the community during and outside of normal business hours, weekends and holidays. The Advanced Practice Professional will provide acute care services in an after-hours clinic such as sick visits, DOT?s, injury evaluation, employment physicals, etc., under the direction of the Collaborating/Supervising Physician, with limited supervision and broad general direction. They will be required to follow applicable Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules and Regulations, Hospital policies & procedures, protocols and Collaborating/Supervising Physicians Protocols (when applicable), and Clinic policies and procedures (provider office APP?s). The care provided is comprehensive in scope and includes the overall coordination of the care of the patient. The position requires compliance with acceptable principles, standards and ethics of the national, state and local associations that apply to and govern the licensed professional, hospital regulatory agency requirements and applicable clinic regulatory agency requirements. When applicable, the position also requires compliance with additional guidelines set forth in contract.
