Principally responsible for the assembly of cables and modules in accordance with exacting design specifications.

  • Coaxial cables (many different size and connectors, flex and solid center conductors)
  • Industrial automation connectors (panel connectors and ferrules, drive connectors, motor connectors, cutting and terminating equipment)
  • MS connectors (all kinds of variations and sealing operations)
  • Commercial electronics connectors (mini and micro fit on medium speed termination equipment)
  • Hi flex cable assemblies (WL Gore / LEONI cores and PTFE sleeves with heat-shrink and special clamps)

Machine & Equipment used:
Soldering irons, soldering aids, cutters, long nose and grip ring pliers, wire strippers, nut drivers, rivet guns, open and box end wrenches, luggers, screwdrivers, component bending tools, torches, vacuum equipment, RF induction heating equipment, cold test equipment, spot welding, laser welding and heliarc welding equipment, brazing equipment, measuring calipers, voltmeters, electronic multi-meter, heat guns, glue guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines, etc.
YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Fabricates and tests cable assemblies following blueprints specifications, using measuring instruments, hand tools, and machines.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders and specifications to define sequence of operations, type & size of cable fittings required, quantity and finished dimensions.
  • Measures & cuts cable to required length, considering cable stretch metal flow resulting from swaging operations, using cable cutter or saw.
  • Selects installs dies, jigs, shims, or other accessories in swaging machine, using hand tools.
  • Assembles fittings onto cable in specified location.
  • Positions fitting cable between dies of swaging machine and depresses pedal to activate machine that swages fittings onto cable, turning cable assembly by hand as fitting is swaged onto cable.
  • Verifies dimensions of cable assembly position of fittings, using measuring instruments.
  • Tests holding capacity of cable assembly, using proof loading machines.
  • Repairs reworks cable assemblies as required.
  • May form loops or splices in cables, using clamps fittings, or by reweaving cable strands.
  • May apply lubricants protective coatings to cable assemblies.
  • May operate crimping machine.
  • May mark identifying information on cable assemblies.
  • May fabricate cable templates.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Maintain shop disciplines (housekeeping, clean as you go and 5S)

As a retail data collection associate, you would be a part of our CROSSMARK Field Intelligence Team. The primary function of this team is to travel locally to grocery, mass merchant, and drug stores collecting observational data about product placement and inventory information. The Electrical Quality Control Inspector 1 is responsible for following the M.C. Dean Quality Control (QC) Program to achieve and verify quality expectations for a durable and reliable installation. The Quality Control Officer is responsible for performing field inspections to ensure work is in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

  • Participate in the daily Operational Risk Management (ORM) meetings ensuring Quality items/issues for the scope of the work are discussed and present at least 2-3 quality tips of the day relevant to the scope of work.

  • Understand and follow all applicable quality system procedures, performing all assigned responsibilities outlined in the QMS.
  • Perform Receiving (REC), First Article (FAI), In-Process (IP) and Final Inspections (FI) on electrical and mechanical assemblies visually and/or with inspection equipment.
  • Immediately notify operators, or supervision of any non-conformances in products
  • Perform all quality reporting requirements outlined in the MCD Quality Management System (including the inspection checklists, Data Collection Reports (PDCR), hold logs, discrepancy notices, waiver logs etc.) Identify for segregation nonconforming units following the MCD Nonconformance procedure for prefabricated and purchased products.
  • Assist in the training of operators and provide guidance.
  • Assist in the problem-solving process.
  • Participate in the Daily ORM work briefings to represent the Quality Portion.
  • Assist in root cause, corrective and preventive action development for systemic issues.
  • Advise appropriate party of any corrective action to be taken.
  • Coordinate with supervisor to ensure all shifts are covered appropriately in case of absence of an inspector.

Qualifications
Experience / Education Required:

  • Associates Degree in Technical Discipline (may be substituted for quality related experience)
  • At least 4 years hands-on experience in the electrical industry
  • To possess or have the ability to obtain a Journeyman License within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with reading and interpreting contractual requirements, drawings, BIM models, specifications, current NEC codes, NETA and other applicable standards

POSITION SUMMARY
The General Assembler is responsible for assembling sheet metal parts, motors, blowers, and related sub-assemblies. This role installs assemblies into units, places insulation into metal panels, and installs motors and blowers into frames. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Insert and secure insulation materials into metal panels following safety and quality standards.

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment to perform assembly operations accurately and efficiently.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet established standards and resolve basic assembly issues as they arise.

2027 Summer Associate Program (Class of 2028)

Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. will host a ten-week Summer Associate Program in-person in its Chicago office during the Summer of 2027 for rising 3L law students (i.e., the Class of 2028). The Program will commence on June 1, 2027 and run through August 7, 2027. Summer Associates will be compensated based upon a pro-rated first-year associate salary.

Our Firm is a mid-sized Chicago law firm with a collaborative environment that offers attorneys the best of both large and small firm experiences. Founded in 1992, the firm has approximately 75 attorneys and maintains a full-service practice spanning commercial litigation, corporate law, real estate, labor and employment, tax, trusts and estates, and other key business areas.
