About Atelier
Atelier is the forming pressure on the future of manufacturing. We help the world’s leading beauty, health, and wellness brands develop and manufacture exceptional products with greater speed, sustainability, and reliability. We do this through technology, data, and world-class execution—and we’re just getting started. Backed by leading VCs and fresh from our Series B, we’re scaling rapidly.
Why it matters
Innovation Leads are Atelier’s commercial backbone — accountable for translating the biggest and best beauty brands’ ambition into manufacturable, on-time, and commercially successful products.
They sit at the intersection of customer, supplier, and execution, ensuring that every SKU moves from brief → sample → purchase order within six months.
The Innovation Lead owns the outcome, not just the process.
What we're looking for
A great Innovation Lead:
- Operates with founder-like ownership.
- Runs accounts like precision machines — fast, predictable, low-drama.
- Creates energy: suppliers want to work with them, customers trust them, internal teams rely on them.
- Doesn’t wait for clarity; manufactures it.
- Is forward-deployed into the customer’s world and forward-driving within Atelier’s.
What You'll Own
Customer Leadership
- Act as the single point of accountability for assigned customers and SKUs.
- Build deep operational partnerships with customer PD and Marketing teams.
- Conduct regular (weekly or embedded) touchpoints to capture briefs, feedback, and pipeline opportunities.
- Lead Atelier’s forward-deployed presence — physically or virtually — to maintain proximity and intelligence.
Project & Commercial Ownership
- Oversee full product development lifecycle with support from PDMs.
- Ensure all SKUs deliver within Atelier’s 6-month development window.
- Forecast and manage quarterly and monthly PO value and revenue targets.
- Ensure timelines, budgets, and margins are maintained and communicated transparently.
Risk & Acceleration Leadership
- Lead Pre-Mortems at project start to identify and mitigate delivery risks.
- Escalate intelligently: provide solutions, not noise.
- Identify and execute radical de-risking actions — on-site collaboration, early PO alignment, or dual-sourcing — to collapse time to market.
Cross-Functional Orchestration
- Partner tightly with PDMs to maintain documentation hygiene and sampling velocity.
- Align with Supply Chain on capacity and order readiness.
- Coordinate with Product Ops on system accuracy and reporting cadence.
Growth & Insight
- Identify new product or category opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Capture customer signals and feed into Atelier’s manufacturing intelligence system.
- Contribute learnings to internal playbooks and best-practice frameworks.
Why Join Atelier
- Competitive salary + super + stock options
- 1 day work from home per week
- 1 wellness day per month, in addition to standard leave entitlements
