Draft and argue pleadings, law and motion, discovery, trial briefs, and settlement agreements.
Conduct and defend depositions; manage written discovery and e-discovery.
Handle mediations, settlement conferences, and regular court appearances.
Liaise directly with clients, fiduciaries, beneficiaries, experts, and opposing counsel.
Qualifications 2-5 years of recent Trust & Estate litigation experience (required), including probate and fiduciary disputes.
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy; motion practice and deposition experience.
Ability to independently manage a caseload with strategic thinking, urgency, and attention to detail.
Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
Preferred first or second-chair trial experience in probate or civil matters and/or contested accountings, will/trust contests, breach of fiduciary duty, removal/surcharge, undue influence, and elder abuse claims.

Job Details Lead and manage all phases of matrimonial/family law litigation: drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement negotiations, courtroom appearances, trials, and appellate work.
Counsel clients on complex issues such as asset division, spousal maintenance, child support, custody and visitation, and enforcement/modification of orders.
Prepare and negotiate prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, separation agreements, and post-judgment amendments.
Conduct legal research and keep abreast of statutes, precedents, and evolving legal trends in family law.
Provide empathetic yet pragmatic guidance to clients, maintain regular communication, manage client expectations, and preserve client confidence through difficult transitions.
Mentor more junior attorneys and staff where appropriate, providing oversight, feedback, and training.
Participate in business development, client outreach, and community engagement to help grow the practice.
Qualifications & Skills Juris Doctor (or equivalent) and admission to the relevant state bar.
Minimum of 5 years’ practice focused on matrimonial/family law, with a substantial litigation record.
Demonstrated courtroom experience: trials, hearings, contested motions, and evidentiary proceedings.
Strong drafting and research skills, with ability to craft persuasive briefs, motions, and legal written argument.
Excellent negotiation and advocacy capabilities.
Emotional intelligence, patience, and strong client-management skills, especially under pressure.
Confidence handling high emotional stakes and sensitive client circumstances.
