The Speech Language Therapist or Clinical Fellow will be responsible for the administration and direct application of Speech-Language pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. If a Clinical Fellow, they will be supervised by an onsite Speech Language Pathologist as per protocol until they obtain their SLP license following the completion of the Clinical Fellowship. Primary Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech therapy services in Acute Care
• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech therapy services in Skilled Nursing
• Evaluate and treat patients requiring speech therapy services in Outpatient
• Documents appropriately in the medical record for all speech-language pathology treatments, assessments and evaluations performed for inpatient and outpatient care
• Submits timely reports to the ordering Physician and updates the Rehabilitation Director daily and /or weekly on ST caseload that is being treated
• Supports and maintains a culture of safety and quality by performing all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety

Location:  Hillsdale Hospital in Hillsdale, MI

Schedule: This full time, exempt position will work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, in the hospital (skilled nursing unit and inpatient) and outpatient as needed. 
Rehab Department Hours: Operating hours for the hospital are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, and Saturday, 8:00am-4:00pm. Outpatient hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm. Software systems utilized include Agile (Outpatient), Brightree/Matrix (Home Health), NetHealth (SNF), and CPSI (Inpatient).

The Division of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures at the University of California, Berkeley seeks applications for a pool of qualified lecturers to teach courses in any of the possible areas:

In addition to instruction, general responsibilities include (but are not limited to) some or all of the following: preparing course materials and assignments, maintaining course website, providing guidance, in consultation with ladder faculty, to undergraduates in MELC majors/minors, supervising and preparing graduated student instructors, holding office hours, writing and grading exams, and grading and commenting on papers, and for language instructors, cooperating with department's language coordinators to plan and teach the department's Language Pedagogy courses. * For Modern Hebrew: Master's/Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Hebrew language, linguistics, applied linguistics or related field. Native or near-native competence in speaking, listening, writing, and reading Hebrew. Experience in teaching Hebrew at the college level.

* For Modern Greek: Master's/Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in Modern Greek language, linguistics, applied linguistics or related field. Native or near-native competence in speaking, listening, writing, and reading Modern Greek. Knowledge of Katharevousa as well as Demotic Greek is preferred. Experience in teaching Modern Greek at the college level.

Position Summary:

Evaluates speech and language pediatric patients with known or suspected health conditions and performs therapeutic treatment procedures as indicated. Makes patient referrals to other health care agencies/disciplines as indicated. Feeding and swallowing experience encouraged but not required. Instruct patients and family members in individualized activity programs designed to maximize functional abilities. Completes timely and efficient documentation. Completion of HIPAA and immunization requirements prior to patient care. Completion of NPI number and insurance plan credentialing prior to independent patient care required. Completion of background check and drug screen during the pre-employment process.
