Key Responsibilities:
  • AP/AR transaction posting and reconciliations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Expense coding and credit card reconciliation
  • Vendor statement reconciliation
  • Asset management (building, vehicles, fuel, and supply cost audits)

  • Audit support (documentation requests and testing)

Job Details The Staff Accountant will support key accounting functions across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Management, Fixed Assets, and Month-End Close.

This role provides broad exposure within a lean, collaborative finance team and offers hands-on experience across the full accounting cycle.

Key Responsibilities: Accounts Receivable: Prepare and send invoices (including customer portal uploads), process debit/credit memos, perform cash application, manage collections and customer disputes, maintain AR notes, and assist with new customer setup.

Cash Management: Run bi-weekly check runs, upload ACH/wire payments, obtain approvals, mail checks, track early payment discounts, and maintain weekly cash reporting.

Accounts Payable: Support 3-way match, resolve price/PO variances, and assist with new vendor setup.

Fixed Assets: Maintain the fixed asset ledger, manage CIP-to-asset reclasses, start depreciation, and reconcile fixed asset records with the GL.

Month-End Close: Prepare journal entries and reconciliations (e.g., PTO, 401k match, applied labor, inventory adjustments, commissions, accruals, rework/scrap, warranty), support corporate reporting requests, and assist with AR securitization calculations.

Tax & Compliance: Prepare state sales & use tax filings (CA, WA monthly; OH quarterly).

Other: Close RMAs, provide commission statements, and support freight invoice audits.
