- Follow written instructions contained in Standard Operating Procedures, manufacturing orders, cleaning checklists and other controlled documents in accordance with cGMP regulations.
- Physically move bulk materials utilizing various forms of pallet jacks. 60; Basic material handling and departmental utility tasks may also be assigned. 60;
- Operate computer-controlled equipment utilizing a screen-based Operator Interface Terminal (OIT).
- Execute in-process attribute testing and visual inspections.

Compensation for this position is a combination of hourly plus commission starting at $48,000-$50,000 a year. Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 8:00am-9:00pm Monday through Saturday and 10:00am-6:00pm Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, holidays. Average hours per week is 42 hours. Typical schedule includes a set day off during the week, 2 set nights to close during the week and every other weekend rotation.

Job Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Properly select, align and secure work holding. Must be able to improvise setups using common tooling such as risers, angle plates etc.
- Monitor and/or develop speed, feed, depth or angle of cut during machining operations.
- Must observe machine operation to predict or detect malfunctions or out of tolerance machining conditions and adjust machine controls /control media as required.
- Verify that all machined details meet print and router specifications, using precision measuring instruments and recording data results. Responsible to ensure first piece inspection is completed for multiple piece runs.
- Monitor and maintain proper cleanliness of machine and work area on a daily basis.
Requirements
- A minimum of two years of trade school, vocational education or apprenticeship
- A minimum of three to five years of CNC machining experience
- General machining knowledge, shop math, precision measuring instruments, blueprint reading and GD&T
- Part and tool probing
- Experience with high speed machining preferred (16 - 27k RPM)
- Some openings may require specialized experience with particular machining processes or equipment
- Experience with Siemens 840D Control software a plus

- Building complex assemblies by performing the layout, fit-up, assembly and welding operations.
- Certify to multiple weld specifications as required for different materials and weld processes.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, routing instructions, manuals, specifications and procedures to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished weldment.
- Measuring, marking and scribing dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining or fabrication operations as required by router instructions and good shop practice.
- Using precision measurement instruments.

- Perform material handling of large weldments using overhead cranes, using proper lifting techniques with high degree of attention to safety.

The Outside Machinists are responsible for all mechanical work performed at Electric Boat.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Performing layout work to support machining, assembly and installation of components into modules that will eventually become working parts of a nuclear submarine
- Taking measurements with basic measuring tools and precision measuring equipment such as inside, outside and depth micrometers, dial calipers, vernier calipers and indicators
- Utilization of standard hand tools such as, combination wrenches, torque wrenches, screw drivers, pliers etc...
- Utilization of various portable and fixed machinery such as bench grinders, hand held grinders, drill presses, hand held drills, magnetic base drills, hydraulic drills, portable boring equipment, milling machines and lathes
- Work is performed utilizing technical work documents, blueprints, specification manuals and written or oral instruction
- Installation and or machining tasks generally take place within a module or on hull. Working inside tanks or confined spaces should be expected. Bench type assignments are generally rare and temporary

Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent OR minimum of 2 years related technical experience
- Available to work all shifts
- Ability to work at heights, confined spaces and extreme temperature conditions as required
- Individuals are required to possess their own basic hand tools
Preferred:
- Machine shop, millwright or mechanical assembly experience and/or related experience
- Strong math skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Metal fabrication or milling experience and military shipbuilding experience
- Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs

Summary: The Service & Sales Coordinator supports customers and Field Service Engineers by using Salesforce Systems, SAP, and in-house tools to manage the service requests such as Startup services, maintenance, installations, including all needed to invoice the Service and Sales orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

- Manage, submit, and follow up on quotations and orders for field service activities, AGAR MPFM’s bulk sales, and related spare parts.
- Coordinate service execution, including scheduling resources, tools, and other necessary elements for the normal execution of service activities.
- Provide technical assistance to the Field Service Engineer during service execution.
- Review and approve expenses and time sheet reports.
- Direct field service personnel who perform on-site routine services, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Create and validate technical specifications, track execution, and fulfill AGAR MPFM’s wholesale orders.
- Interface with management regarding service coverage and technical training.
- Complete the entire process for service repair orders.
- Coordinate and execute service activities in the field with the Field Service Engineer (FSE) for AGAR MPFMs in well testing operations.
- Process, invoice, and follow up on bulk sales orders.
