Primary Duties and Responsibilities Administers prescription and over-the-counter medications, first aid, and triage to clients as needed on the shift.

This role is responsible for maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring proper documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR), and supporting clinical and administrative staff with medical records management.

The Medical Staff Services & Credentialing Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day operational supervision, oversight, and performance management of the Medical Staff Office credentialing team and administrative support functions. This role ensures that all medical staff credentialing, privileging, reappointment, and related Medical Staff processes are executed in full compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, Medicaid, NCQA, Medical Staff Bylaws, and organizational policies.
In addition, the Supervisor serves as a key operational partner to the Senior Director of Physician Services and the Delegation Analyst to ensure alignment, accountability, and consistency across credentialing and delegated credentialing functions. While the Supervisor does not own delegation work as a primary responsibility, they are expected to collaborate, escalate issues, support operational problem-solving, and provide leadership coverage as needed, including stepping in alongside the Senior Director when required to support continuity of operations.
This role functions as a representative of the Medical Staff Office in internal and external interactions and serves as the final internal operational review for credentialing and privileging items prior to presentation to the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee (MEC), and other governing bodies.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Medical Staff Credentialing & Privileging Oversight
- Provide direct supervision and operational leadership to Credentialing Specialists and Administrative Secretary.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of:
- Initial appointments

QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Progressive experience in medical staff credentialing or provider enrollment.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of:

Key Responsibilities
- Document Leadership and Authoring:
- Provides medical writing leadership for clinical programs
- Acts as a medical writing subject matter expert and collaborates with the Clinical Science team to deliver on clinical documents including clinical study protocols and protocol-related documents (e.g. informed consent forms), clinical study reports, DSURs, Investigator's Brochures, IND clinical summaries/overviews, and CTD components (e.g. Module 2 summaries)

Position Requirements

Key Responsibilities- Submit and process medical claims to insurance companies
- Review and correct billing errors prior to claim submission
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and work toward resolution
- Analyze Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and denial reasons
- Resubmit corrected or appealed claims as needed
- Verify patient insurance information and eligibility
- Post payments and reconcile accounts
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records
- Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status
- Collaborate with internal team to resolve billing issues
- High school diploma required; certification or coursework in medical billing/coding is a plus
- Some experience or familiarity with medical billing processes preferred
- Basic understanding of insurance claims, EOBs, and denials
