Position Responsibilities:

  • Actively leads or supports hardware/software integration activities

  • Coordinate efforts between multiple engineering disciplines (e.g., software, hardware, mission assurance, etc.)

  • Develop System Integration Plans and Integration Procedures

  • Develop software load images for installation onto training devices

  • Integrate multiple systems/subsystems making up a complete training device

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Triage, vital, and room patients.

Job Summary

The Library () at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia is seeking a collaborative and knowledgeable librarian to lead and manage digital accessibility services to further support the Library's ongoing commitment to ensure that all Library resources and digital assets can be used by all members of the Georgia Tech community, regardless of ability. The Title II and Digital Access Librarian works collaboratively across the library to ensure a unified strategy for proactive and remediated digital resource accessibility, including Course Reserves, Interlibrary Loan, Digital Repository, and other Library digital interfaces. Reporting to the Head of Technical Services this position will serve as the Service Owner for the Library's Title II and Accessibility initiatives including coordinating digital accessibility remediation, working with vendors and campus partners, and participating in strategic decision-making as a core member of various internal and external committees. The Title II and Digital Access Librarian will provide expert advice regarding digital accessibility to inform and support the Georgia Tech Library's vision of innovating services, tools, and access to all for an inclusive future.



Responsibilities

This is a 12-month faculty position with an effort distribution of 80% excellence in assigned duties, 10% scholarship, and 10% professional service to the library profession. Up to two (2) years credit for previous professional experience may be given at the time of employment, in which case such credit will be stated in the offer letter. Responsibilities

Provide and improve library services and resources; enrich the research, learning, and scholarship of the Georgia Tech community through the following:

80% Librarianship

  • Lead and manage the Library's Title II Digital Access Service that includes the coordination and prioritization of requests, compliance, and vendor relationships related to digital accessibility and Title II.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate student employees.
  • Advise Library Leadership, Library colleagues, students, faculty, and staff and other GT Units on Digital Access best practices and compliance.
  • Lead projects and initiatives to improve upon and educate users and stakeholders on digital accessibility and participate in the Library's portfolio and project management processes as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Technical Services Librarians and staff, other colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure a unified strategy for resource acquisition, discovery, delivery, and access of scholarly resources.
  • Collaborate with all Library Departments to ensure a unified and compliant digital portfolio.
  • Monitor current trends and best practices in digital accessibility and recommend improvements to local policies, practices, and workflows.
  • Contributes to Course Reserves and Interlibrary Loan service operations, working alongside colleagues and participating in day-to-day workflows as needed.
  • Serve as an ex officio member of the Content Management Group and share expertise in digital accessibility.
  • Serve as a core member of the Alma-Primo Advisory Group.

  • As a Site Reliability Technician Leader within Jabil's Cloud Test Software Development team, you will directly contribute to the daily operations and development of our Cloud Test Platform Infrastructure deployed at multiple production facilities worldwide.

What will you do?

  • As the Site Reliability Technician Lead, you will provide the first line response to production issues including but not limited to outages, end user performance, change management, monitoring, improving the efficiency and usability of production test infrastructure and applications, and ensuring all site test infrastructure software and hardware is maintained with the latest updates to ensure high levels of performance and reliability.

  • Sustaining support and maintenance for the manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11-L12) level test software and infrastructure deployed at our production facilities.
  • Support the site's manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11-L12) current test infrastructure as well as future expansions planning, deployments, and assembly.
  • Maintain manufacturing server (L10) and rack (L11-L12) test infrastructure documentation of installations, upgrades, management.
  • Communicate manufacturing test infrastructure enhancements while providing insights based on site operations and uptime challenges.
  • Support manufacturing test incident response, analysis, and corrective actions for the site operations.
  • Participate in closed loop analysis/responses to factory test failures.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on the test infrastructure, including MDF, IDF, and SUT TORs.

Management & Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Reports to Management

Education:

  • BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of software engineering and/or IT operations and infrastructure experience.
  • Experience in the following programming/scripting languages:
    • Python
    • Java
    • BASH
    • C, C++, experience a plus
  • Understanding of Linux fundamentals:
    • CentOS
    • Ubuntu
  • Familiarity with hardware and API solutions for controlling, managing and stressing L10 devices (servers, network and storage SSDs, NVMe):
    • IPMI,
    • Redfish,
    • mprime,
    • FIO,
    • Linpack,
    • ptugen,
    • memtester
  • Familiarity in the creation and configuration (DHCP, PXE boot, nginx) of Virtual Machines (VMs) using VMWare is a plus
  • Experience with leading edge networking systems, hardware, software and protocols including but not limited to enterprise ethernet datacenter switching/routing L1, L2, and L3 (BGP, DHCP Relay, ECMP).
  • Arista CloudVision is a plus.
  • Experience with networking systems, hardware, software and protocols including but not limited to enterprise ethernet datacenter switching/routing (L1 – L3).
  • Demonstrated systematic problem-solving capability, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
  • Experience working in multi-site and multi-cultural environments.
  • Domestic and/or international travel, up to 10%, may be required.

You will:

Work cross-functionally  to track, manage and close design issues for both new product introductions (NPI) and in-market (IM) activities
Qualify  hardware components (Drives, DIMMs, cables, switches, etc.), firmware and/or software
Load, configure, test and support  unstructured storage appliance clusters
Support platform engineering development/test environments  to support platform performance testing, customer failure replication, network configuration and hardware component qualification
Assist in physical installation  and setup hardware in   Massachusetts development and testing environments (Hopkinton and Franklin)
