Radiologic Technologist – St. Peter's Health Partners

What you will do:
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible to perform diagnostic radiographic, X-Ray examinations in accordance with departmental standards. The incumbent interacts with physicians, staff and others in the efficient and service oriented operation and performs all job functions in a courteous and professional manner consistent with our mission and goals.

- Diagnostic imaging
- Operate and adjust imaging equipment
- Explain procedure to patient, position patient and equipment
What you will need:
- AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology or Equivalent
- Current ARRT registration and NYS license required or Eligible
- CPR Certification
Pay Range: $27.40– $40.71
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Reporting to the Practice Coordinator, 5 North Telemetry, the Registered Nurse (Level I, II, III or IV) is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process. The Registered Nurse, after appropriate educational preparation, is capable of expanding the scope of practice in general or specialty areas of nursing. The criteria and specific job duties of the three levels are

2. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.

1. High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
2. Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology is required.
3. Valid California Radiology Tech (CRT) certification from the State of California is required.
4. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
5. American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) is required; advanced ARRT certification in (CT) also is required.
6. Proof of venipuncture certification is required. Venipuncture competency must also be demonstrated and documented by the supervisor or his/her proxy within thirty (30) days of hire or transfer into position.
7. Recent experience in CT is required, experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
8. Ability to operate all CT equipment and perform all CT examinations independently (e.g., be able to protocol them or work in conjunction with the radiologist) is required.
9. Must be seen as a resource throughout SAMC and be willing to actively participate on Hospital/Department committees as assigned.
10. Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers and demonstrate excellent customer service orientation is required.

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Provides individualized, high-quality nursing care to patients of all ages. Uses a team approach to delegate and coordinate patient care at admission, transfer, and discharge. Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Medical Center policies, nursing standards, ethical principles, and professional judgment. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Job duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific.
· Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
· Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. The acceptable credentialing body is the American Heart Association.
· Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to populations served within three (3) months of hire.
· Ability to read, write and speak English language.
