Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Design Engineer to support development and compliance of an Arm-based SoC embedded software platform in accordance with DO-178C DAL A safety-critical standards. The role involves understanding and maintaining an existing code base, performing software requirement analysis, architecture design, and ensuring complete lifecycle compliance including traceability, documentation, and configuration management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand, build, and maintain the Arm-based SoC embedded software code base.
• Ensure software development follows DO-178C DAL A safety-critical SDLC processes.
• Perform software requirements capture, analysis, and traceability.
• Develop software architecture and detailed design documentation.
• Update and maintain source code to meet DO-178C compliance.
• Support SDLC reviews and Pre-SOI audit activities.
• Prepare design analysis reports and resolve technical issues.
• Maintain requirements, design, code, and test traceability.
• Support configuration management and documentation activities.

Required Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in embedded software design and development.
• Strong experience with DO-178C DAL A safety-critical software lifecycle.
• Experience with software architecture, design, and requirement analysis.
• Knowledge of communication protocols: Ethernet, SPI, RS485, CAN, I2C.
• Hands-on experience with DOORS, Git, Matissa, MS Visio.
• Familiarity with AMD Vitis, ARM C Compiler, and Lauterbach Trace32.
• Experience with SDLC documentation and Pre-SOI audit processes.

Reading pick tickets and accurately pull stock for packing finished goods and other materials for shipment to customers, vendors, etc.

Making boxes, filling boxes with product and needed filler, sealing boxes, and recording quantities and weights on Bill of Lading and/or pick tickets.

Transporting packed orders to shipping area.

Using special shipping materials when needed such as pallets, banding, shrink wrapping, and the like to ensure product will arrive to customer in proper condition.

Maintaining knowledge of products, models, and SKU numbers.

Maintaining knowledge of shipping options and vendors and using that knowledge in the company's best interest.

Using parcel packaging when shipping equipment.

Receiving incoming freight in the form of parts, products, and raw materials.

Matching packing list to items received to assure correct quantity and specifications.

Inspecting incoming freight for damage in shipping and handling and notifying the Shipping Manager of damage if any has occurred.

Signing the Bill of Loading for incoming freight.

Completing receiver forms and submitting a copy to accounting and purchasing.

Safely using a forklift or a hand truck to move materials from the receiving area to the stock room.

Safely transporting products from the inspections area and place them on the proper storage rack or other designated areas.

Alerting the Shipping Manager to any problems creating shipping delays, including but not limited to supply needs, and assisting towards a resolution in order to keep shipments current and maintain schedules.

Preparing stencils and instructions for shipments.

Accurately checking products to be shipped against shipping orders to ensure the proper amounts and correct items are shipped.

Maintaining all necessary clerical records pertinent to the function.

Hand-counting and weighing items accurately as needed.

Assisting in loading and unloading of trucks.

Repairing, as able, any machine malfunction and report malfunction to the Shipping Manager and/or Production Manager.

Requesting quotes for overseas shipments from various shipping sources, such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.

Maintaining expert knowledge of the equipment used in the shipping area.

Perform errands (such as transporting items to post office, UPS, etc.) in a motor vehicle if required.

Use a computer to ship orders.

Maintaining knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).

Other duties as assigned by the Shipping Manager or Production Manager.

Education

Certifications

Required - Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association;

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiography (R) and/or certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) 

Current unrestricted license in the state of practice

Advanced certification in CT required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry required within two years of employment

Preferred - Advanced certification in CT required by an organization recognized by the ACR Registry

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language.
• Ability to work with and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure.
• Ability to work self-directed and to function without direct supervision.
• Ability and willingness to have and maintain flexibility in work duties and hours (may require flexible schedule such as nights, evenings, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, etc.).
• General knowledge of cardiac anatomy, Doppler physics, and the hemodynamics of blood flow in relation to the various disease states.
• Skills to preliminarily identify stenosis or occlusion based on nationally published criteria.
• Skills to assist attending physicians with interventional procedures requiring ultrasonic guidance.

Job Duties

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Utilizes radiology information systems to facilitate care.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Independently operates equipment to complete imaging procedure according to protocol (including placement of IV).
• Reviews patient images prior to transmission to ensure images meet diagnostic quality standards.
• Completes timely quality control procedures in accordance with regulatory standards and performing notification/remediation as warranted.
• Assists in the facilitation of departmental operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance, etc.).
•  Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Other related duties as required.
