About the Role
We are seeking an experienced EHR Implementation Specialist with a strong background in Community Medical Oncology to join our growing implementation team. This role is ideal for someone who understands the real-world workflows of physician-led oncology practices and can translate those needs into effective, streamlined EHR configurations.
You will play a critical role in leading EHR deployments, supporting go-live initiatives, and optimizing systems for fast-paced private oncology environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the configuration and deployment of EHR systems tailored specifically to Medical Oncology workflows
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff to translate practice needs into clear technical requirements
- Bridge the gap between technical EHR capabilities and the day-to-day operational nuances of a community-based oncology practice
- Provide both on-site and remote support during go-live phases
- Drive post-implementation optimization and workflow improvements
- Serve as a liaison between clinical stakeholders and IT teams
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of dedicated experience in Community Oncology
- Hands-on EHR implementation experience, specifically with:
- Flatiron OncoEMR
- McKesson iKnowMed
- Deep understanding of physician-led practice operations (as distinct from large hospital systems)
- Strong working knowledge of Medical Oncology workflows
- Based in the Greater New York City Area with the ability to commute to NYC as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Varian ARIA (Radiation Oncology EHR) in a Medical Oncology context
- Familiarity with Elekta MOSAIQ in oncology settings
- Experience managing EHR transitions in small-to-mid-sized clinical environments
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both physicians and IT teams
- Proven success supporting go-live and optimization initiatives
