You will serve as a RIGGING WORK (FORKLIFT OPERATOR) in the DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Trident Refit Facility Bangor and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.

Duties
Help

  • You will be assisting journeyman Riggers in rigging up hoisting and pulling gear for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy loads.
  • You will be assisting in fabricating, installing, and repairing standing and running rigging, wire and fiber rope items such as slings, towing bridles, nets, and other ship and boat rigging and handling of test weights.
  • You will be operating an electric, gasoline, or diesel powered fork lift trucks which are capable of lifting loads weighing 10,000 pounds or more.
  • You will be driving fork lift trucks over rough and sometimes muddy terrain through narrow aisles in outside storage areas.

About the School of Materials Science & Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology

Founded in 1985 by combining the former School of Ceramic Engineering with the Metallurgy Program housed in the School of Chemical Engineering, MSE merged in 2010 with the School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering, established in 1897 as the Textile Engineering program, the third school at GT. Job Summary

The School of Materials Science and Engineering () at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GT) in Atlanta, Georgia, invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position in Materials Science and Engineering. About the School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies at the Georgia Institute of Technology

The School of Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies was created in fall 2025 to further position Georgia Tech as an international leader in research, education, and community and industry engagement at the intersection of arts, technology, and design. Housed within Georgia Tech's College of Design, the school's pedagogical approach integrates artistic foundations, technical innovation, and creative entrepreneurship. The school leverages Georgia Tech's existing strengths in areas ranging from artificial intelligence and student startups to digital media and music technology, adopts the culture of practice-based studio pedagogy in the College of Design, and builds sustained partnerships with creative studios, technology providers, startup companies, nonprofits, and artists-in-residence taking advantage of Atlanta's thriving creative ecosystem.

The school will begin offering a B.S. in Arts, Entertainment, and Creative Technologies in Fall 2026. Summary
You will serve as a SHIPFITTER LEADER (EXPERT) in the DEPARTMENT OF NAVY to include work sites of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, and Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility.

Duties
Help

  • You will lay out shell, deck and bulkhead plates, I-beams, channels, angles, pipe and round bar and various other structural shapes, gun rings, struts, framing and various foundation structures and other parts from blueprints and templates.
  • You will cut and shape plates, beams and other heavy metal structural shapes, using various shop machinery.
  • You will use precision tooling such as micrometers, feeler gauges and torque wrenches for meeting required tolerances per technical work documents when required.
  • You will report to supervisors on the status and progress of work, nature of work delays and answer questions on overall work operations and problems.
  • You will inspect completed and in process work for quality of workmanship and adherence to requirements, specifications, standards, plans and schedules.

Job Description:
L3Harris Space and Mission Systems has a need for an Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) and Control Account Manager (CAM) Project Engineer (PE). This critical position leads the development and delivery of cutting-edge Space-based payloads and sensors for remote sensing, missile warning and track, and space warfighting within technical, cost, and schedule objectives of a project baseline throughout all phases of the program life cycle. This role is responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a range of software and hardware development, assembly, and integration and test efforts.

Essential Functions:

* Responsible for successfully leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.
* Develops, oversees, and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
* Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, drives execution, identifies opportunities, and delivers results through achieving payment milestones.

* Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
