Successful applicants are expected to demonstrate and develop an exceptional research program. We are particularly interested in candidates whose scholarship focuses on Applied Behavioral Sciences, including but not limited to Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Quantitative Psychology,HumanFactors/EngineeringPsychology,andAdultDevelopmentandAging. Ideal candidates will place a strong emphasis on the use of quantitative and computational methodologiesinthedevelopmentofuse-inspiredtheoryandresearchtoaddressmodern workplace and/or societal challenges. A Ph.D. in Psychology, Organizational Behavior, Applied Quantitative Methods or related STEM field is required at the time of appointment. Candidates should have a strong record of academic accomplishments commensurate with their current academic rank and an externally funded research program or show potential to establish one. Responsibilities/Duties:

• Conceive, plan, and conduct individual research in broad areas relevant to the mission of the laboratory (imaging, therapy and contrast/therapeutic agents.
• Serve as the technical lead for the laboratory in your area of expertise.
• Plan and direct a number of collaborative research projects including coordination of research activities between groups and disciplines.
• Develop new instruments, materials, processes, scientific methods, approaches and algorithms.
• Responsible for directing others; plans, organizes, and supervises the work of laboratory scientists, engineers, and technicians. Evaluate progress and results obtained, recommend major changes to achieve overall objectives.
• Participate in strategic planning; key role in identifying and acquiring research funding.

Bachelor's Degree

The Subjective Uncertainty and Belief Lab at Georgia Institute of Technology is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow under the supervision of PI Mark Himmelstein and in collaboration with David Budescu of Fordham University.

The responsibility of the position is to support an NSF grant funded project for using planned missing data research designs to estimate how people use advice to revise their judgments without requiring them to directly report their independent prior beliefs first. There are two directions this position could potentially be focused on, which would ideally overlap:

• Developing new cognitive models for how people revise probability judgments.
• Extending research designs that use planned missing data methods for addressing measurement reactivity areas beyond just advice taking research.

Ph.D. in Psychology, Computational Social Science, Economics, Data Science or a related field by the start date.

• Theoretical background in topics related to judgment and decision making, preferably advice taking research and Judge Advisor Systems.
• Experience in either psychometric or computational cognitive modeling.
• Experience with missing data imputation methods.
• A strong track record of peer reviewed publications and presentations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Our mission is to develop and translate approaches, devices, algorithms, and agents with clinical impact based on a synergistic combination of biomedical imaging, image-guided therapy, and bionanotechnology. Overall, we are a collaborative, full-spectrum research group leading the discovery, development, and integration of biomedical imaging technologies and theranostic agents for both fundamental research and clinical applications.

The Ultrasound Imaging and Therapeutics Research Laboratory is part of the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE), and the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University School of Medicine.

The research engineer will provide technical oversight of the research laboratory operations focused on in-vitro/preclinical/clinical imaging. The responsibilities will include daily interactions with graduate students, post-doctoral fellows, clinical collaborators, and other researchers, technical and other support to research staff, and direct reporting to the Principal Investigator.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Designing and fabricating electro-mechanical systems;

Specifically, we are seeking an individual who is invested in engineering education and who will deliver excellent teaching in the area of electrical power systems, power electronics, power conversion, and rotating machines. We are open to applicants in all areas of electrical engineering, but we are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and research experience in one or more of the following topics: power electronic devices, controls, and circuits; power system modeling, control, stability, protection, and transients, motor/generator modeling, design, and testing.

The Spatial Ecology & Paleontology Lab at Georgia Tech would like to invite applicants for a postdoctoral position. We are seeking a new member of our research community to be jointly supervised by Jenny McGuire (Georgia Tech) and Michelle Lawing (Texas A&M). This postdoctoral research associate would join a vibrant team of international researchers investigating global change ecology.

1. Computational analysis to evaluate the climate tracking and climate fidelity of mammal and plant taxa.
2. Mentorship and research facilitation of graduate students examining the effects of arid conditions various aspects of taxonomic variety of fossils from Natural Trap Cave, Wyoming.
3. Participation in a large international collaboration examining trait-environment relationships.
4. Participation in grant writing and collaborative papers. It is our utmost priority to ensure that postdocs in the lab take on projects that will allow them to achieve scientific visibility that will make them as competitive as possible in this difficult job market.

An earned doctorate in PhD is required by the start of the appointment.

The ideal candidate would have strong interpersonal, R programming, spatial analysis, database analysis, and paleontological skills. Adequate knowledge of skeletal morphology of mammals or reptiles would benefit the candidate.
