Description
Position Summary
Under general administrative direction, the Gastroenterology (GI) Nurse Navigator coordinates and manages treatment plans for patients with gastrointestinal conditions. This role provides a significant level of patient education related to illness management and treatment, facilitates communication among multidisciplinary teams, ensures continuity of care, and optimizes patient outcomes.
The GI Nurse Navigator supports patient care coordination, assists with clinical follow-up, orders necessary labs and tests, and addresses barriers to effective care delivery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between patients, GI providers, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless coordination of care.
- Address barriers to care, including scheduling challenges, insurance concerns, and patient education needs.
- Educate patients on gastrointestinal conditions, treatment plans, medication adherence, dietary considerations, and follow-up care.
- Follow up on diagnostic tests and communicate results and next steps to patients.
- Provide clinical support, counseling, and education; escalate urgent clinical situations to providers as needed.
- Collaborate with the GI team to develop and implement care plans focused on improving patient outcomes.
- Ensure thorough documentation of patient encounters, laboratory results, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Work with the multidisciplinary team to reduce readmissions and address chronic disease management and social or environmental factors impacting patient care.
- Assist GI providers in addressing any gaps in care by coordinating follow-ups, procedures, and referrals.
- 5% of responsibilities will involve direct clinical duties, including ordering labs, reviewing patient records, and supporting procedures as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Current D.C. licensure as a Registered Nurse (or evidence of application for licensure in D.C.).
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in gastroenterology, internal medicine, or patient education settings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk, stand, and reach above shoulder level frequently in a clinical setting.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or carry, and frequently push or pull up to 100 lbs.
- Regular exposure to healthcare environments requiring personal protective equipment.
- Manual dexterity to operate computers, calculators, copiers, and other standard office equipment.

This is an exciting time in the program as we partner with our US Air Force customer for enhanced mission systems upgrades as well as new international customers to grow the business. In this role you will be responsible for the engineering management of an integrated communication suite and aircraft navigations subsystem of electronics hardware. The Boeing KC-46 “Pegasus” is the new US Air Force aerial refueling tanker aircraft designed to support multi-role missions including refueling, cargo/passenger transport, and medevac airlift. The KC-46 is a military commercial derivative aircraft based on the Boeing 767-2C aircraft and modified per US Air Force specifications for the primary mission of aerial refueling US and Allied aircraft. The KC-46 is also equipped with a suite of tactical situational awareness systems and self-defensive systems that allow the aircraft to provide closer support to combat aircraft when performing missions.
This position will report to the KC-46 Mission Systems Avionics (MSA) Senior Manager and will represent the Communications and Navigation Systems team for the KC-46 Tanker Program.
Provide leadership, project management, and technical guidance to the engineering teams responsible for the system design/architecture, airworthiness certification, technical supplier management, production & fleet sustainment support, and RCCA investigations.

How will you make an impact?
We are seeking a highly skilled, technically proficient and detail-oriented Principal Mechanical Engineer with expertise in metal structures, frame design, pipes and fabrication to support the development of power and cooling infrastructure for data centers. This role is critical in designing robust mechanical systems that house and support electrical and thermal management equipment, ensuring structural integrity, manufacturability, and compliance with industry standards.
What will you do?
- Experience designing and integrating hydronic systems including pumps, piping networks, valves, and heat exchangers for data center cooling applications.
- Knowledge of fluid dynamics, pressure drop calculations, and pipe sizing for chilled water and glycol-based systems.
- Understanding of installation constraints, maintenance access, and serviceability in large-scale mechanical infrastructure.
- Design and develop mechanical frames, enclosures, and support structures for data center power and cooling products (UPS systems, battery racks, CRAC units, containment systems, LVS, MVS).
- Perform advanced structural analysis using FEA tools to validate mechanical integrity under static, dynamic, seismic, and thermal loads.
- Analyze load paths, stress concentrations, and fatigue life of structural components to ensure long-term reliability.
- Design metal enclosures with considerations for airflow, thermal containment, EMI shielding, and environmental protection.
