SUMMARY

We are looking for a proactive Senior Associate, Building Science Knowledge Systems, who will support and help manage projects that strengthen the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) ability to assemble, store, and disseminate codes, standards, performance criteria, and best practices in the built environment. Our goal is to make knowledge easier to access and understand so that buildings are safer, more efficient, and more innovative. This role will own defined project workstreams and support multi-stakeholder projects to ensure alignment with client goals, scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The Senior Associate will coordinate with internal team members and subcontractors, contribute to clear communication and reporting, and help ensure effective knowledge transfer across the organization.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned projects and workstreams with emphasis on building technology and innovation.
  • Draft and maintain project workplans and schedules for assigned projects and workstreams.
  • Support defining and documenting project scope, deliverables, KPIs, and success criteria; maintain trackers and dashboards for performance reporting.
  • Support budget, schedule, and resource management for assigned projects; assist with Estimate to Complete (ETC), forecasting, and status reporting; flag variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Identify, track, and help mitigate tasks, project risks, and client relationship risks; escalate issues as needed.
  • Support quality assurance activities to help ensure deliverables meet client expectations and internal standards.
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities across cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, researchers, IT specialists, and subcontractors.
  • Support client communications by preparing meeting materials, notes, and regular status updates; participate in client calls as needed.
  • Support knowledge management practices: maintain project files, ensure accessibility of content, capture lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement.
  • Support stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops, webinars, and technical meetings, including logistics, agendas, and follow-up.
  • Monitor industry trends in digital codes & standards and AEC innovative solutions; share relevant insights and help apply best practices to project delivery.
  • Surface resourcing, skill, and process gaps that may affect delivery and share recommendations with the project lead and senior leaders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting repeatable approaches, templates, and knowledge management practices; support change management activities as needed.
  • Adhere to and support compliance with organizational standards, federal contracting norms, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Self-manage workloads and proactively coordinate with supervisor and project lead on priorities, risks, and capacity.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposal inputs, capturing client needs, and identifying organic growth opportunities through project-based relationships.
  • Contribute to NIBS external presence by supporting presentations, drafting technical content, and participating in industry forums as appropriate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have direct report responsibilities. The Senior Associate may provide task-level guidance to internal team members and contracted staff within assigned workstreams.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelors degree in a STEM field, project management, or construction management, though a combination of equivalent education and professional experience will be considered. The position requires 1-3+ years of experience leading, supporting, or coordinating projects, with a preference for experience within the built environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage defined workstreams, track scope/schedule/budget inputs, and produce high-quality deliverables with appropriate guidance. Experience supporting federal government contracting and reporting requirements is preferred.

The Project Manager will manage project team members, manage subcontractors, and ensure effective communication and knowledge transfer across the organization.

Data Science Undergraduate Studies (DSUS) at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach DSUS courses should an opening arise. About DSUS



Data Science Undergraduate Studies (DSUS) offers a range of academic, co-curricular, and enrichment programs-including the Data Science major and minor-with a wide-reaching impact both across UC Berkeley and beyond.



Designed in collaboration with faculty from across Berkeley, Data Science invests students with deep technical knowledge, expertise in how to apply that knowledge in a field of their choosing, and an understanding of the social and human contexts and ethical implications of how data are collected, analyzed, and used. This combination positions graduates to help inform and develop solutions to a range of pressing challenges, from adapting industry to a new world of data to amplifying learning in education to helping communities recover from disaster.

Connector courses allow students to apply theoretical concepts from data science to a particular area of interest. Course design and syllabus will leverage the sequence of computational and statistical techniques that students learn in the Foundations course.



Teaching a Data Science course may include holding office hours, assign grades, advise students, prepare course materials (e.g., syllabus), provide clear and prompt feedback on student work, and maintain the course website.

Position description

This postdoctoral opportunity brings together faculty from UC Berkeley's School of Education (BSE); the College of Computing, Data Science, and Society (CDSS); and the Social Science D-Lab to support one (1) postdoctoral scholar as they study the teaching and learning of Data Science. Scholars will apprentice with multiple projects to develop and contribute expertise and scholarship in ethical data science teaching and learning across precollege, 2-year college, and 4-year university contexts. A major goal is to prepare scholars who are conversant across sectors, in order to help create coherent and supportive data science learning trajectories for all students.



We seek applicants with complementary relevant skill-sets and training in data science and education. This includes applicants with different educational backgrounds (e.g. research, regional, or liberal arts colleges; technical and community colleges), methodologies (e.g. qualitative and quantitative approaches to social sciences research), and experiences related to teaching or educational research (e.g. tutoring, teaching, curriculum development). We hope scholars will all share commitments to contributing high-quality, ethical Data Science Education teaching, curriculum, and scholarship. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this positon.



The program will prepare postdoctoral scholars for a variety of careers such as entering Discipline-Based Education Research or the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning of Data Science as research or teaching faculty at a range of colleges and universities; working for non-academic organizations that design, develop, and study curricula, resources, and teacher learning for Data Science Education; or working with school districts or university systems to support student readiness, success, interest/confidence and career awareness in data science.



Duties of Position:

Year 1: Researchers will work with specialists among the faculty in Computer Science, Data-Intensive Social Science, Education, and Statistics in research rotations across departments; attend monthly workshops designed to develop the knowledge base required to conduct consequential research in this field; and become integral members of a growing community of practice at UC Berkeley and across the SF Bay Area.



Year 2: Researchers will engage with a year-long apprenticeship with a faculty mentor and will develop an independent project within the context of one of the many educational initiatives led by project personnel. Fellows will have the opportunity to teach workshops in Python/Jupyter, social science methodology, data literacy pedagogies, or data science curriculum development, and they may also teach undergraduate courses in Data Science/Statistics or STEM teacher preparation, no more than one course per year in the lecturer title. They will present their independent work at campus colloquia and will engage the broader Data Science Education field through scholarly conferences, technical workshops, and UC Berkeley's annual Data Science Education convening.

We are seeking a senior Life Sciences consulting leader who combines deep domain expertise, hands‑on delivery leadership, and strong executive presence. This role operates as a high‑impact individual contributor, leading from the front—shaping solutions, advising clients, and influencing outcomes across complex Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) programs.

The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor to client leaders while remaining deeply engaged in solution design, delivery decisions, and stakeholder engagement.



Position: Principal Consultant – Life Sciences Commercial Systems

Location: Redwood City, CA (Hybrid – 4 days onsite)

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Advisory:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and thought partner for HLS clients across Commercial, Medical, and enabling functions.
  • Partner with senior client stakeholders (Sales, Commercial IT, Medical Affairs, Compliance) to define technology strategies, roadmaps, and governance models.
  • Lead business process transformation initiatives aligned with Life Sciences regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Provide guidance on operating models, data integrity, and system validation considerations.


Life Sciences Systems & Delivery Leadership

  • Lead end‑to‑end implementations, enhancements, and optimization initiatives across:
  • Veeva CRM
  • Adjacent Commercial / Medical systems within the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Own solution design, functional governance, and delivery oversight for complex HLS programs.
  • Guide clients through commercial compliance, regulatory, and validated system requirements.
  • Act as a quality gate for solution architecture, functional design, and release strategy.


Hands-on Individual Contributor (IC)

  • Operate as a hands‑on leader, deeply involved in:
  • Solution design and functional architecture
  • Key client workshops and decision points
  • Design reviews and delivery checkpoints
  • Review and guide functional specifications, solution designs, and deployment approaches.
  • Support pre‑sales activities, including solution storytelling, demos, and client presentations.
  • Present confidently to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
  • Translate complex business challenges into practical, scalable, and compliant technology solutions.
  • Serve as a visible leader within the Life Sciences practice, mentoring others through influence rather than direct authority.

Required Qualifications:

Experience & Domain Expertise:

  • 10–15+ years of experience in Healthcare & Life Sciences IT and/or digital transformation.
  • Experience with Veeva Vault platforms (e.g., PromoMats, MedComms, Quality, or Clinical) is a strong plus, but not required.
  • Strong experience delivering Life Sciences Commercial and/or Medical systems, with demonstrated ownership of solution design and client outcomes.
  • Proven experience supporting Commercial, Medical, or Customer Engagement functions within Life Sciences.
  • Deep understanding of HLS compliance, validation, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated success operating as a senior IC and client advisor, not solely as a delivery team member.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable engaging with executives, business leaders, and cross‑functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce ecosystem integrations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, MuleSoft, etc.).
  • Exposure to global or enterprise‑scale Life Sciences implementations.
  • Background in consulting environments supporting Life Sciences clients.
  • PMP or similar project/program management certification.
