Description

American Traveler is seeking an X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience for a 10-hour night shift travel contract in an X-Ray department.

Details

- High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center X-Ray department
- Covers multiple areas including OR, ED, inpatient, and portable imaging as needed
- Patient population includes adults as well as pediatric and neonatal patients
- 4x10-hour night shifts, Tuesday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 9:30 AM
- Expected to float to other areas within the department as needed
- 4 weekend shifts required per month
- Block scheduling is generally not approved
- EMR: Epic and Sectra
- Equipment: GE, Philips, and CareStream

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of Level 1 trauma experience, or 2–3 years at a large-bed Level 2 trauma facility
- Experience in OR and general X-Ray; willingness to work both areas as needed
- Experience in high-volume hospitals with diverse and complex cases
- Willingness to learn and work with pediatric and neonatal patients
- Graduation from a JRCERT/ARRT-approved program
- Current BLS and ARRT certification required
- Active state license if applicable

Additional Information

- Operates radiologic and fluoroscopic equipment and evaluates images for technical quality
- Will work alongside students and perform competency check-offs
- Local candidates are accepted for this position
- Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospital settings are not a strong fit for this role
