LOCATION: Rochester, NY
SUMMARY: A program designed to train a skilled worker through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction to become a Maintenance Technician at American Packaging Corporation. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in the facility, which will include troubleshooting and routine maintenance activities. Throughout this program, they will learn to troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that affect productivity of the manufacturing group as well as plant facilities and subsystems. They will learn to be involved with the process improvements providing input in production problem solving.
Approval Process: Applicants will be interviewed and chosen based on their experience, knowledge, and overall work history. The chosen finalists will be required to take and pass an aptitude test.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Duration: 3-4 years for completion
Classroom Training: Several courses required through local school, such as Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical and Machining courses.
Hours of Work: As needed for class schedule, must be flexible.
On the Job Training:
A. Tool and Supply Room (~200 hrs)
Learn size of wire conduit and bending of conduit, use of tools and how to determine the size of load safety.
B. Lighting (~200 hrs)
Replacement of incandescent lamps and hot cathode fluorescent tubes and starters. Repair of fluorescent fixtures, replacing ballast, socket and wiring, code requirements. Repair of LED fixtures, replacing drivers and troubleshooting.
C. Trouble Shooting AC Wiring (~300 hrs)
Learn to locate and repair contactor problems, replacing contacts and contactor. Locate and replace blown fuses. Check and repair limit switches, push buttons, etc.
D. Special Circuits AC (~500 hrs)
Learn to read wiring diagrams. Operation of special control circuits, time delay switches, electrical braking.
E. Direct Current Machinery (~500 hrs)
Learn to locate and repair direct current motor troubles in fields, armatures, bearings, brush holders, and commutators. Knowledge of variable speed DC drives. Repair and maintenance of DC contactors and field control.
F. General Wiring (~500 hrs)
Learn proper handling and installation of power feeding, wiring, fuse panels, breakers, etc. Estimate load requirements. Code requirements. Install general wiring.
G. Instruments (~100 hrs)
Learn proper use and care of voltmeter, ammeter, watt meter, oscilloscope and megger, etc.
H. Computerized Controls (~600 hrs)
Programmable logic controllers: reading diagrams and schematics; maintaining and troubleshooting.
I. Care, Use and Safety of Tools and Equipment (~500 hrs)
Hand tools, power tools, machines and power equipment, ladders, scaffolding and hoists.
J. Machine Repair (Mechanical) (~1500 hrs)
Assembly and disassembly, bearings, power transmission, construction, rigging, lubrication. Safety.
K. Bench Work and Machinery (~300 hrs)
Lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, drill press, power saw, etc. Safety.
L. Pipefitting (~300 hrs)
Layout, installation, repair, replacement, pumps and compressors, valves and controls. Safety.
M. Welding (~500 hrs)
Protective clothing and equipment, burning and cutting, controls and gauges, electric arc welding, properties of metals. Safety.

The primary responsibility of the Vice President, Regional Wealth Management Consultant is to build relationships with assigned clients in our Wealth Management territory covering the LA metro area. Specifically, you will provide wholesaling support, demonstrate value-added services, schedule on-site meetings, and respond to client requests.

Role Overview
North American Fire Protection is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Sales Representative to support and grow our Florida operations. This role is responsible for driving revenue across new construction projects and inspection/service (ITM) work within a defined regional territory. The ideal candidate understands both the technical side of fire sprinkler systems and the business side of construction sales. This position is ideal for a professional who can confidently manage the full sales cycle—from identifying opportunities to estimating, proposal development, closing, and successful project handoff.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and manage a sales territory within a 100-mile radius of Palm Coast (Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona Beach, Orlando)
• Identify and pursue new construction and inspection/service opportunities
• Prepare accurate estimates, material take-offs and proposals for fire sprinkler systems
• Independently quote projects while maintaining company margin and pricing standards
• Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, property managers and facility owners
• Conduct site visits, client meetings, and job walks within the territory
• Collaborate with internal design, operations and service teams to ensure smooth project transitions
• Maintain pipeline visibility and sales activity through CRM tracking and forecasting
Qualifications
• Experience in the fire sprinkler industry required
• Proven experience in sales, estimating, or project development within fire protection or construction
• Strong understanding of NFPA codes, sprinkler systems and construction practices
• Experience preparing project estimates and proposals
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
• Highly organized and self-motivated with accountability to performance goals
• NICET certification preferred
• Experience selling both new construction and inspection/service work is highly desirable

Objectives of this role
A Associate, Synthetics Sewing is responsible for sewing web slings used in overhead lifting applications. Your primary focus will be operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality and durable web slings.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial sewing machines to sew web slings for overhead lifting purposes.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or other specifications to determine the sewing requirements.
- Prepare materials, including cutting fabric, straps, and other components, as per the provided measurements.
- Set up sewing machines, ensuring proper tension, stitch length, and thread alignment for each sewing project.
- Inspect finished products for defects or irregularities, ensuring they meet the quality standards.
- Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, oiling, and changing needles, to ensure smooth operation.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the supervisor for timely resolution.

Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience in fabricating and distributing lifting and rigging equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Expertise in fabricating various types of slings (nylon, polyester, wire rope), wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, sling protection solutions, hoists, synthetic ropes, and tie-down equipment.
- Strong understanding of materials used in lifting and rigging applications and their respective properties.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to lifting and rigging.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machine and tools safely and effectively.

Objectives of this role
A Rigger is responsible for the production of assemblies that are used all over the world in nearly every level of manufacturing. They will learn how to accurately identify different diameters, constructions, and best possible applications for an array of products that are utilized in industries like construction, energy, mining, crane operation, space and aeronautical, deep-sea recovery and rescue. Working closely with experienced staff and learning on the job skills with years of proven quality and effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and assemble various lifting and rigging products including slings (nylon, polyester), wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, sling protection solutions, hoists, synthetic ropes, and tie-down equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Inspect finished products to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabricating equipment and tools.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure availability for customer orders.
- Review, interpret drawings and blueprints and capacity tables.
- Understand codes and specifications as outlined on order tickets
- Calculate wire rope cut lengths, fitting requirements and identify the appropriate equipment to produce all varieties of wire rope and chain assemblies
- Splicing wire robe and fabricating chain slings
- Understanding and operation of industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts (Training is provided)
- Attach proper tags and labels to products
- Report defective or substandard material supplies or product
- Maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, and follow all Safety Guidelines
Required skills and qualifications
- Proven experience in fabricating and distributing lifting and rigging equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Expertise in fabricating various types of slings (nylon, polyester, wire rope), wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, sling protection solutions, hoists, synthetic ropes, and tie-down equipment.
- Strong understanding of materials used in lifting and rigging applications and their respective properties.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to lifting and rigging equipment.
- Ability to operate fabricating equipment and tools safely and effectively.
