Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

The Graduate Nurse provides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care after completing a nursing program and before licensure. Will be required to obtain licensure within 90 days of graduation from an accredited school of nursing to remain employed in a HSO in the state of Missouri.

Responsibilities
  • Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration.
  • Uses critical thinking skills to assess and evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs.
  • Develops and implements individual plans of care in collaboration with other members of the healthcare team in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Promotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment.
  • Evaluates patient's response and modifies plan of care accordingly throughout the patient's stay.
  • Participates in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development.

The emergency department (ED) at Alton Memorial Hospital provides service to patients of all ages, neonate through geriatric, with acuities from minor illness/injuries to cardio-pulmonary arrest. Our triage system screens patients to be seen on severity of illness rather than first come, first serve basis. The ED utilizes a 5 tier triage system to categorize the patients. Alton Memorial also has the only hospital based ambulance service in the region that we serve.

The Ambulatory Surgery Department (ASD) reviews documentation for completeness and makes sure all chart requirements are met for surgical candidates prior to surgery. It also serves as a phase II recovery area for day surgery patients (those who are anticipated to go home after their procedure). Pre-Admission Testing is a subset of ASD and does pre-admission screening and testing for surgical patients.

Drivers on these accounts can earn up to $1300 weekly and are eligible for benefits after 30 days.

Principal Accountabilities

Personal protective equipment use is required in all areas of the facility
  • Execution of automation solutions used for controlling plant process. Will involve design and configuration of control systems and oversight of electrical and instrumentation functions related to projects. Will be required to obtain knowledge of plant processes
  • Design and Implement control strategies based on current best practice standards and approved components
  • Work with fix/support team to identify areas in need of improvement and reliability. Provide training for completed projects
  • This position requires availability for a 6 day work week

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need of a Visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Knowledge of PLC/HMI/Controls programming languages
  • Ability to update and troubleshoot a range of electrical or instrumentation systems
  • Ability to read and analyze electrical schematics
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well in a team or individual environment and be a self-starter
  • Ability to pass an Electrical Aptitude Test
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous Cargill Experience
  • Ability to understand continuous and batch process control strategies
  • Possess a working understanding of the production process
  • Ability to configure and program a variety of control systems including PLC and HMI systems
