The Surgical Technologist and/or the Certified Surgical Technologist prepares the room and gathers supplies needed for surgical procedures; delivers instruments and supplies to the surgeon and other members of the surgical team intra operatively; may function as second assistant to the surgeon; assists in the proper decontamination of the room, supplies and instruments post operatively.

Prepares for surgical cases by obtaining and preparing appropriate supplies, equipment and instruments, reviews surgeon's preferences to determine required items. Establishes and maintains a sterile field and presents instruments to the operating team. Delivers appropriate instruments/supplies utilizing proper principles of sterile technique. Acts as 2nd assistant to surgeon, performing duties related to draping and operative site exposure. Responsible for removal of all sharps and initials return card for verification. Can hold extremities. Assist with casting and splinting. Mixes medications on the sterile field once verification by a registered nurse has occurred. Assist with positioning, can fix specimens in formalin (annual competency required), assists circulator in proper care and handling of surgical specimens. Can wash and thaw grafts, can hold a stapler while surgeon fires it, can operate skin stapler for the purpose of wound approximation and can assist with the dislocation of joints if yearly competency is accomplished. Can cut suture material as directed by and under the supervision of a surgeon, Can apply ESU to clamps or forceps for hemostasis under the direct supervision of the surgeon, can assist anesthesia if yearly competency is accomplished, Can assist with patient skin prep if yearly competency is accomplished, Can change out camera and robotic instruments during endoscopic procedures under the direct supervision of the surgeon, Can manipulate the uterus during robotic cases under the direct supervision of the surgeon.

TITLE: EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
D SHIFT: FRIDAY THRU SUNDAY AND EVERY OTHER THURSDAY FROM 6:00 PM TO 6:00 AM

REPORTS TO: EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE MANAGER
SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Equipment Maintenance Manager, the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and performing the repair and preventative maintenance of all industrial tools and tool sets in the wafer fab, including assisting with tool selection, qualification, and optimization on an assigned shift; analyzing various types of data and preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports; and reviewing and modifying Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI’s) to ensure data remains current. This position is located in Milpitas, California.
*Must be willing to train on F shift (Friday thru Sunday and every other Thursday from 12:00 PM-12:00 AM) for a minimum of two months before moving to assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the department; makes employment-related decisions as necessary, including hiring and terminations
- Oversees and performs the repair and preventative maintenance of all industrial tools and tools sets in the wafer fab
- Supervisors are required to be physically on-site to perform the essential functions of this position, including making oneself available to employees, peers, and managers as needed
- Assists with tool selection, qualification, and optimization to ensure quality, performance, and yield specifications are consistently met
- Reviews and monitors equipment/tool performance data such as MTTR/MTBF/OEE, prepares reports, and presents findings

- Reviews and updates new or existing MPI’s to ensure information remains up-to-date
- Collaborates with the Environmental Health and Safety department to ensure all preventive or routine maintenance is conducted in accordance with established safety standards
- Schedules all required training and certification classes to ensure compliance standards are met
- Responds to requests from employees and departments regarding equipment-related issues

Job Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

The annual base salary for this full-time position is between $120,819.00-$177,675.00 + bonus target + benefits. Within the range the individual pay may differ depending on additional factors including job responsibilities, job related knowledge, skills, abilities, education, and experience. WORKING CONDITIONS:
The Equipment Maintenance Supervisor works in an indoor environment on a rotating schedule on D shift which is Friday thru Sunday and every other Thursday from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The schedule may be altered from time-to-time to meet business or operational needs; may travel from building-to-building as needed. Works in a class 100 ESD sensitive wafer manufacturing facility; wears a cleanroom (bunny) suit, including hood, gloves, safety glasses, booties, and mask. May be exposed to hazardous conditions, chemicals, fumes, and/or gases during the course of work day; may be exposed to loud noise. Stands and walks, bends, twists, and crawls; This position requires the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to work on-site during their scheduled shift. Manages the Facilities Group of the hospital system which includes Plant Operations, Environmental Services, Laundry, and Grounds Maintenance. Plan, organize, direct and control the facilities management functions which includes, but is not limited to planning, design, construction, alteration, operation, maintenance, safety, fire prevention/protection, and disposal of plant facilities and equipment; also oversees the Environmental Services and Laundry departments; Establish goals, objectives, standards of performance, develop and implement operating policies and procedures; interpret policies, standards, regulations and codes to personnel.
Ensures the efficient and effective operation of Plant Operations, Environmental Services, Laundry, and Grounds Maintenance, to ensure continuity in facility operations and delivery of patient care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads up to 45 or more employees in Plant Operations, EVS, and Laundry throughout the hospital.
- Carries out Directors responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Adheres to, complies with and demonstrates support for the mission and values of the hospital. Sets clear expectations for staff by developing job specific customer service expectations and behaviors for each position supervised; clearly communicates expectations to each employee and establishes the expectations as job requirements and performance evaluation components; delegates responsibility/authority whenever possible.
- Listens without defensiveness to customer/employee concerns; acknowledges every concern; actively follows up in response to all concerns. Develops a method for tracking and monitoring the complaints and follow-up. Ensures that when the supervisor is advised of known conditions, which might require corrective counseling, the supervisor must investigate and demonstrate action that is appropriate for the circumstances involved.
- Conducts all performance evaluations on time, working with each employee at least annually to set specific behavioral and performance goals.
- Assists interviewing, hiring, and training employees by identifying training and staff development needs of employees and ensuring appropriate training is provided. Initiates formal/informal activities with employees to develop departmental cohesion and collegiality. Consistently recognizes positive behavior and contributions to the organization using praise, appreciation, and rewards. Actively identifies problems and opportunities for improvement; identifies appropriate solution and involves others in the implementation process. .
- Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or oxygen required for facility operations and patient care. Also Directs Environmental Services, Grounds, Auto Clave management. Ensures patients, visitors, and staff have a safe, comfortable and clean environment to function in at all times.
- Carries out and monitors preventive maintenance program(s). Ensure the database program for work order entry into the Plant Ops Management database (Four Rivers) is utilized properly and effectively.
- Reviews maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities. Gives clear direction to supervisors regarding expectations for completing the work assignments. Reviews the supervisors work performance periodically and give the supervisors feedback on how their work compares to expectations throughout the year. Makes suggestions on the timelines and quality of their work. Provide the supervisors with the tools and training they need to meet the expected performance.
- Inspects operating machines and equipment to conform to operational standards. Ensures preventive maintenance occurs on all systems and buildings as scheduled and according to manufacturer's recommendation or best standard. Manages the assignment of unplanned work requests to maximum customer satisfaction and the most efficient utilization of department resources. Functions as a resource to the assigned teams to assist them in the work they perform.
- Maintains oversight on all construction activities in the organizations facilities. Ensures compliance by outside contractors with all regulatory agencies and hospital policies and procedures.
- Plans on at least a 3 year cycle for all budgetary needs, including capital. Ensure the department maintains a facility assessment report that is revised at least annually, indicating the current status of each of the buildings and property conditions, noting both long and short-term needs. Ensures that all budgetary targets are met or that all variances are explained clearly.
- Liaison with other departments to determine their needs as well as current level of satisfaction with the performance of the Facilities group. Develop plans for addressing needs or improving the customer satisfaction as necessary.
- Ensures the hospital system is in compliance with all regulatory agencies /standards including local building and fire codes, NFPA, OSHA, EPA, and CMS. Maintain a current list of known deficiencies with a plan for improvement.
- Assists with hospital security, Life Safety and fire prevention/detection.
- Participates and reports in the Environment of Care Committee (EOC) and chairs the EOC; acts as Safety Officer for the facility.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High School graduate or GED. Familiarity with basic Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Minimum 5 years personnel and building management experience.
- Acceptable driving record allowing individual to be insured.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles of electricity, electronics, plumbing, carpentry, boiler operation, HVAC and general building maintenance.
- Able to systematically apply engineering principles to detect and repair malfunctioning equipment or systems.
- Familiar with operations of various tools, instruments, and gauges for facility/equipment/instrument maintenance and repairs.
- Have knowledge with Autoclaving Bio-waste, Life Safety Code, Construction Phasing and Environmental Services department.
- Good communication and organization skills appropriate for the management of multiple areas of responsibility; ability to present to a group of peers; ability to understand and manage hospital financial reports.
- Individuals assigned to this position must maintain the appropriate certification, licensure or registration as mandated by the specific governing agency.

Ariat is looking for a Senior Manager of Trade Compliance Operations to oversee global trade activities and ensure compliance with international laws and regulations. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Transportation, Logistics & Trade Compliance. The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, minimize customs risks and duties, and partners across teams to support efficient and compliant trade operations.

- Partnering and educating key stakeholders on incoterms, harmonized tariff codes and product classifications to minimize customs duties levied on Ariat products.
- Designing and delivering solutions through RFI/RFP events; FTZ/bonded warehouse for future cargo flow strategies; trade software solutions; and customs brokerage improvements.
- Managing the development, implementation, documentation and maintenance of a comprehensive and efficient trade compliance program.
- Ensuring compliance with country laws and other regulatory requirements, working closely with regulatory agencies, trade partners and internal/external stakeholders
- Staying updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory changes for implementation to improve efficiency and accuracy of Trade Compliance processes; to build short/long term strategies and roadmaps; and ensure departmental best practices
- Monitoring international inbound and outbound orders: root cause and resolve order delays related to diversions, customs documentation, missing arrival notices, clearance or process issues.
- Collaborating and analyzing import/export documentation to ensure accuracy for brokers, factories, suppliers and customers. Pre-auditing all customs entries against purchase orders; Coordinating filing of Post Summary Corrections.
- Monitoring dashboards and reporting to manage key actionable trade compliance metrics monitoring performance, milestones, clearance timeliness, clearance accuracy, exceptions, process improvement, cost management, and drive continuous improvements
- Driving trade compliance continuous improvement activities, compliance assurance and risk assessment programs to control trade compliance risk.
- Creating and maintaining Trade Compliance Process and training SOPs.
- Conducting Trade Compliance risk assessments across Ariat locations, factories and suppliers; Maintaining foreign supplier questionnaires, USMCA factory audits and updated USMCA certificates of origin.
- Managing relationships with transportation partners, customs brokers, customers and stakeholders.

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Trade, International Business or a related field preferred
- 7+ years specialized experience in Global Trade Compliance, preferably within the apparel and footwear industry
- 5-10 years Customs Compliance experience, working for an importer
- U.S. Customs Broker License (or working to obtain) and/or similar professional trade certification (preferred)
- Experience with CTPAT, FTZ, bonded warehouse and CITES requirements and transactions (preferred)
- Demonstrated knowledge of trade regulations including HTS classification
- Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged by Senior Leaders

Position Summary:
Working within the Document Control Department, this person will analyze and review engineering and documentation additions and changes for accuracy, completeness and compliance to company and customer’s requirements. Duties will include creating part numbers for assemblies, fabricated and commercial parts. In addition, this position will be responsible for creating and altering multilevel BOMs, and submitting Engineering Change Orders.
Position Responsibilities:
- Generate Bill of Materials and Routings, assigning documentation and/or part/program numbers as applicable, device history records, and issuance of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure that proper procedures are being followed when making changes, additions and deletions.
- Maintain the Change Control Process. This includes the preparation of change requests, insuring the appropriate functional reviews and sign-off, and maintaining the records of the changes. Post changes to computerized or manual records, release documents, and notify affected departments.
- Consult with engineers, managers, and sales to prepare documents and change requests. Work with document originators to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain established data distribution system and expedite review, signature approval, and release of documentation in a timely manner.
- Manage and maintain active, obsolete, and computerized files which support the documentation system.
- Participate in the training of new Engineers on how to use our systems.
- Participate in the development of new processes and in and process and system improvement projects.
- Development of a Master Data Management Tool together with the global team to streamline processes.
- ISO 45001 document control process set up: manage layer one and two documents release and audit.
- Troubleshoot attribute anomalies and conduct data cleaning in advance of Oracle transition.
- Manage docs release process, auditing and change management of future ISO9001 system.
