As the largest NICU in New England and a Level III/IV regional referral center, BWH provides advanced multidisciplinary care for over 3,000 premature and critically ill infants annually. This role requires an elite neonatal clinician capable of managing high-acuity patients, including extremely low birth weight (ELBW) infants and those with complex surgical or neurological needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Critical Neonatal Care: Provide intensive care for infants born as early as 23 weeks, including respiratory management (conventional ventilation, oscillating vents, and CPAP).
- High-Acuity Stability: Manage infants with major structural complications, serious inherited disorders, or life-threatening conditions requiring specialized monitoring.
- Neurocritical Care: Utilize advanced techniques to promote crucial brain development and monitor infants undergoing therapeutic hypothermia protocols.
- Family-Centered Care: Integrate parents into the care team through education, skin-to-skin (Kangaroo care) support, and multidisciplinary huddles.
