Security personnel are to be certified and trained and will be assigned a variety of standing, sitting and walking posts.

May be required to perform emergency duties which require physical exertion such as: standing or walking for an entire shift, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying up to 50lbs. and running.

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and reporting on activities on site, ensuring the safety of employees, visitors, and property.

• Maintaining CPR and First Aid certifications.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.

Reports to: Branch Manager or Account Manager

Job Summary:

This position is under the direct supervision of the Account Manager or Branch Manager and is responsible for protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers and visitors to assigned sites.

Job Duties:

Protect the interests of the client within the limits of the facility and to protect the lives and property of employees and visitors.

Observe and report signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances.

Prepare reports on a daily basis as trained and turn them into the proper contacts.

Complete patrols as required by post orders

Monitor and control access to property as required by post orders.

Notify proper authorities in all cases of emergencies as outlined in the post orders.

Report all violations of company policy and local and federal laws as stated in the Employee Handbook.

As a Security Professional - Armed Utilities in Gibsonton, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a visible presence. Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report any concerns according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for employees and visitors.
• Collaborate with site personnel and law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A Florida Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles and 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
