The Manager - Data Science and Analytics plays a critical role in revenue and margin management for the Merchandising organization by performing various pricing analyses to exceed the financial targets. This highly visible individual will manage the daily and weekly promotions for print and digital marketing vehicles, so to be successful, strong analytical skills and business savviness is vital. This Team Member will develop and use analytics tools to draw insights and provides actionable recommendations while exhibiting higher-order critical thinking under ambiguous situations.
Major Activities
- Machine Learning Forecasting: Maintain, regularly run, and potentially adjust time-series forecasting pipelines with backtesting, accuracy diagnostics, drift detection, and ongoing monitoring.
- Pricing optimization: Maintain, regularly run and potentially adjust pricing/markdown optimization engines (e.g., Gurobi, CP-SAT), including feasibility checks, constraint adjustments, relaxations, and scenario analysis.
- Mathematical modeling: Translate new business rules (e.g., new constraints for pricing) into robust mathematical formulations.
- Production engineering: Maintain a modular codebase across forecasting, optimization, and data workflows; keep ensure code quality, test coverage, and documentation. Maintain overrides to handle data quality issues.
- Reporting & impact measurement: Own reporting for the pricing engine, turn recommendations into stakeholder-ready insights and quantify business impact.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Merchants and Pricing Advisory to translate business needs into features for retail pricing algorithm
- Develop and implement user-friendly analytics dashboards and tools that perform complex analysis manipulating large data sets to identify actionable business insights
- Initiate, partner with internal teams on process improvement initiatives

The Opportunity:
UCF Information Technology (UCF IT) is seeking a Cloud Computing Engineer I to join the Infrastructure team and apply technical expertise to maintain UCF's cloud computing environment. The Cloud Computing Engineer I will support cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, VMware, and Google Cloud, with a focus on software-defined networking and zero-trust architectures.
The Cloud Computing Engineer I will follow documentation and best practices, consult with internal customers on new projects and implementations, and collaborate with multiple teams and departments during new Azure cloud initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Respond to service requests and incidents related to Azure cloud infrastructure. Fulfill routine infrastructure requests including virtual machine provisioning, storage allocation, and network configurations. Troubleshoot basic issues and escalate complex problems to senior engineers as appropriate.
Perform routine infrastructure builds and deployments in Azure, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, and other cloud resources. Follow established templates, runbooks, and best practices to ensure consistent and secure deployments across environments.
Monitor cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost metrics using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and related tools. Build and maintain dashboards to visualize key performance indicators. Alert appropriate teams when thresholds are exceeded or anomalies are detected.
Use and help maintain script repositories for common Azure functions using PowerShell, Terraform, and other Infrastructure as Code tools. Execute automation scripts for routine tasks, contribute to script improvements, and document procedures for team use.
Adhere to UCF Infrastructure ITIL processes, such as request and change management procedures, ensuring all planned changes are properly reviewed, documented, and communicated. Coordinate with stakeholders to minimize disruption and ensure smooth implementation of changes.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of cloud configurations, procedures, standards, and operational guidelines. Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives by creating and updating technical documentation in the team wiki and knowledge base.
Assist with cloud security and compliance tasks, including reviewing access permissions, supporting audit requests, and helping to remediate findings from security assessments. Follow established security policies and best practices for Azure environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree oran equivalent combination of education and experiencepursuant toFla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, storage, and virtual networks.

Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments and validations of Cloud Service Offerings (CSOs) in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Provisional Authorization (PA) process.
- Evaluate Cloud Service Provider (CSP) documentation packages following government guidance and procedures, including key artifacts such as the Cloud Architecture Diagram, System Security Plan (SSP), SSP Addendum, Readiness Assessment Report (RAR), System Architecture, Security Assessment Plan (SAP), Security Assessment Report (SAR), and associated Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Review, analyze, and process additional documents including Change Requests, Extension Requests, Deviation Requests, Whitelist Requests, Corrective Action Plans, templates, process guide approvals, and continuous monitoring (ConMon) artifacts for existing Provisional Authorizations.
- Prepare and deliver up to 30 Cloud Security Assessment Packages annually, each including validated cybersecurity controls, certifier recommendations, and a statement of residual risk.
- Participate in technical kickoff meetings and review preliminary documentation to assess a CSP's readiness posture.
- Analyze and provide detailed feedback on CSP submissions such as the RAR, SAP, SSP, and architectural diagrams.
- Assess and document the operational impact of authorizations, changes, and vulnerabilities on the CSP environment.
- Develop Cloud Security Assessment Packages in accordance with established guidelines, including the SAR, POA&M, and any Deviation Requests.
- Draft Authorization Recommendation Memoranda outlining CSO compliance with DoD cybersecurity controls, residual risks, and technical findings.
- Prepare formal DoD Provisional Authorization memoranda, detailing authorization length, CSO boundary, services provided, operating conditions, DoD usage considerations, and follow-on activities.
- Validate CSO controls within eMASS or other government-provided Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools; ensure accurate tracking in the Mission Status Report (MSR).
- Review and verify the Customer Responsibility Matrix (CRM), ensuring proper control inheritance is reflected in eMASS/GRC systems.
- Upload authorization conditions as system-level POA&Ms in eMASS and monitor their resolution.
- Organize and associate all received documentation with applicable security controls within eMASS.
- Maintain and update the DoD Cloud Process Guide, including all checklists, templates, forms, and guidance documents.
- Assist in developing internal requirements and how-to guides for assessors conducting CSP validations.
- Document and refine assessment procedures and validation best practices to align with DoDI 8510.01 and the DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (SRG).
- Contribute to the ongoing development and annual updates of the DoD Cloud Assessment Process Guides as requested by the Government.

The CCS will serve as an Information Assurance and Cloud Computing SME with regards to Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and a broad coverage of the application of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework (RMF) standards and guidance as outlined in the NIST Special Publication(s) (SP) 800-53 and 800-37 (current versions).
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide full lifecycle Information Assurance (IA) support for systems maintaining current Authority to Operate (ATO) under RMF via eMASS.
- Update, maintain, and validate RMF artifacts, IA documentation, scorecards, and accreditation packages.
- Develop, manage, and execute POA&M, MOUs/MOAs, risk acceptance documentation, and other compliance artifacts.
- Ensure continuous compliance with DoD/DLA RMF requirements supporting ATO and Authority to Connect (ATC).
