Job Purpose

Essential job Functions


  • Lead annual spend management strategies of $30M+ while cultivating tactical, critical, and strategic incumbent or prospect suppliers in the marketplace who support our store-level, regional, national, or corporate HQ sourcing needs at Floor & Decor.
  • Exercise sourcing process awareness and critical supplier categorization analysis in leading the evaluation and down-selection of qualified suppliers, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.
  • Perform periodic market trend analysis for specific subcategories, analyze supply base trends, and model industry shifts which may have a negative or positive material cost impact to Floor & Decor’s Business Unit P&Ls.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Life Actuary to join the Life Company's Asset Liability Management Team. This role coordinates, prepares, and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.

This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

What you'll do:

  • Performs complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
