You will be involved in the preparation of all phases of the preconstruction process from conceptual through construction documents.


This position will support the sales & management team by delivering first class client service, renovations, and new construction for projects in the public/private commercial, institutional, historical, multi-family, historical, healthcare and residential sectors, which range in size from $500k to $50 million+.



Responsibilities

  • Build a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and deploy this knowledge throughout the Estimating process.
  • Lead team to milestones to ensure the knowledge of the project and its requirements are current.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site tours to be fully versed on how the site will affect subcontractor pricing. This includes working with Operations to include a site logistics plan.
  • Review project plans and specifications.
  • Manage the subcontractor bid management process; establish the proper subcontractor list; manage subcontractor coverage; manage information flow; and coverage maintenance throughout the life cycle of an estimate.
  • Ensure adequate market coverage by maintaining a current knowledge of where the coverage stands.
  • Develop thorough scopes of work that cover all aspects of a project, and ensures subcontractors comply with the scope produced.
  • Review and analyze bids for conformance to project specifications, price, and related items. Discuss and resolve any questions with subcontractor prior to submission of final estimate.
  • Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs.
  • Determine labor, material, and equipment costs.
  • Attend client meetings to discuss estimates, answer questions, and resolve issues regarding pricing and estimates.
  • Review quotes and estimates with the Project Management Team.
  • Develop initial procurement logs to ensure projected schedule can be achieved.
  • Perform purchasing of subcontractor and vendors in a timely manner.

  • Bachelor's degree in construction related field, or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or field experience

  • Strong Estimating skills and experienced in estimating self-perform carpentry trades

Leads the day-to-day operations of the GGA Travel Assistance department, delivering seamless, high-quality assistance to travelers when they need it most. Event Manager, Special Events


Pay Details

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $80,000 to $90,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.


The Event Manager, Special Events plans, coordinates, and executes events at the Honda Center, a premier entertainment and sports venue, and other related properties, including ARTIC, The Grove of Anaheim, and OCVIBE venues under development. This position works closely with internal and external resources to ensure seamless development and execution of all event-related details. Responsibilities include oversight and delivery of all phases of an event: establishing a relationship with the client, event logistics, managing to budget, and ensuring successful execution and follow-up. Requires intensive attention to detail while maintaining the highest standards of customer service. Duties include management of event contract details, including space requirements, technical requirements, food and beverage requirements, etc. The Event Manager is the main point of contact for Special Event client representatives and venue staff to advance and coordinate logistics for assigned events concerning budgets, entertainment, transportation, facilities, technology, equipment, operational requirements, department staffing levels, and all other event-related elements. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills and the ability to effectively convey instructions and information to various levels internally and externally are a must, as is a demonstrated problem-solving ability.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as venue liaison between contractors, organizers, and management regarding all facets of events
  • Responsible for coordination and advancement efforts for assigned events, including front-of-house and back-of-house logistics
  • Communicate all necessary venue information to Special Event client representative for advancement purposes and ensure all information related to events has been advanced to the appropriate venue departments and subcontractors for seamless execution
  • Review event rental agreement language to determine how to proceed with coordination efforts for assigned events
  • Ensure event rental agreements are signed, initial payments and insurance coverage received before event load in for assigned events
  • Ensure information is correctly entered into the Momentus Elite event management program promptly
  • Plan and monitor budgets, adjusting when necessary and ensuring adherence to budget
  • Collaborate with clients and internal departments to maintain compliance related to the use of space and timing of access
  • Manage development and distribution of necessary event-related information, orders, production notes, summaries, and fact sheets to all internal and external contacts, as well as third-party contractors and vendors
  • Prepare event-specific information sheets for distribution to include all event-related information 30 days before assigned events
  • Ensure event information and set-ups are accurate for all assigned events
  • Depending on the rental agreement language, prepare total reimbursable venue labor and rental equipment costs for assigned events on time
  • Analyze and complete a thorough wrap-up of all elements of each event, including submission of event debrief/after-action report to document areas of success and needed improvement
  • Develop extensive knowledge of the arena, arena locations, and other venue locations, including ARTIC and OCVIBE properties to be developed, equipment, building labor costs, arena promoter costs, departmental event staffing breakdowns, and all necessary contacts related to events
  • Develop working knowledge of food and beverage preparation, sequence of service, and basic high-end food and wine to assist with the provision of exceptional client and guest experience
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships and communication with tenants, client representatives, internal departments, and subcontractors
  • Assist special event sales team with client upsell opportunities and event enhancements by leveraging relationships with outside vendors and specialists
  • Coordinate required documentation, including animal permits, pyrotechnic permits, sign language interpreters, subcontractor staffing schedules, and other applications with appropriate entities for assigned events
  • Act as Event Manager on Duty and/or overall building manager for assigned events
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of building emergency procedures
  • Participate in AED/CPR training, emergency response teams, and other groups as required
  • Assist with advance on-site event meetings, tours, and related needs
  • Assist with hiring, training, and continuing education on event procedures for event- related staff
  • Assist with the development and implementation of operating procedures that meet venue and industry best practices and ensure proper protocols are adhered to
  • Ensure all work performed complies with Honda Center and associated property regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Implement procedures to establish and maintain high standards of customer service, ensure a positive and professional presentation and generate repeat business
  • Focus on continuous improvements in guest experience and event experience
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in event planning and execution
  • Arena, Convention Center, or other similar venue background is preferred
  • Previous experience overseeing multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • CPR/AED certification is preferred, and/or the ability to obtain certification upon hire
  • Experience with Momentus Elite or similar event management program and Prismm or other similar diagramming software preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary and required

Senior Field Superintendent Role

The Senior Field Superintendent will directly supervise and coordinate construction activities of the datacenters that are being constructed and report directly to Applied Digital’s Campus Project Director. The Superintendent will play a critical role in ensuring the project's success by monitoring and facilitating collaboration among Applied Digital, contractors, subcontractors, 3rd party vendors/contractors, and regulatory bodies. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, communication skills, and project management acumen.


Projects include but are not limited to:

  • Development of ground-up data center buildings
  • Redevelopment or upgrade of existing properties to state-of-the-art data centers
  • Expansion of data centers and critical infrastructure within existing facilities or on existing property
  • Large customer fit-outs and retrofits to accommodate customers occupancy and deployment needs



Duties:


Scope Specific

  • Depend on qualifications, this role is available to Mechanical and Electrical scope expertise. The roles of Senior Electrical Superintendent of Senior Electrical Superintendent are available to the right applicants
  • Duties as outline below would apply with an emphasis on the specific scope


EH&S Job Site Specific (Primary and Supporting Role):

  • Collaborate with APLD on site EH&S to establish and sustain site health, safety, and security controls in accordance with corporate objectives


Procurement (Primary Responsibility):

  • Ensure the GC is properly managing site logistics for APLD owner furnished equipment. Know and understand the full OFCI process and what gear is coming and when.
  • Work with Project Manager to receive approved submittal for all owner-furnished equipment. Ensure that the general contractor has a process for managing OFCI documentation and is receiving the appropriate documents.
  • Inspect and check-in all Applied Digital-furnished equipment and materials that arrive to the jobsite


Construction Management, Administration & Management (Primary Responsibility):

  • Be on site on behalf of APLD Monday – Friday 7A – 5P, exact times and days may fluctuate, to monitor construction activities. Weekday evenings and weekends may be needed pending project schedule. Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies.
  • Make APLD aware of neighbor or other local jurisdiction complaints or issues.
  • Participate in GC-led weekly meetings which may include, but is not limited to: OAC, subcontractor coordination, pull planning, design, BIM/VDC meetings, RFI/Submittal, etc.
  • Provide onsite technical Construction SME support, ROJ dates, visual inspection and/or observation for construction quality control of OFCI and CFCI equipment and Supply chain management
  • Management of team members, key stakeholders, neighboring properties, contractors, utility providers and inspection agencies
  • Address any disputes or conflicts that may arise during the project, working collaboratively with all parties to find mutually acceptable solutions. Escalating to Project Manager team when appropriate.
  • Know and understand key schedule milestones.
  • Actively track contractor activities in alignment with schedule. Will be responsible for communicating schedule impacts, delays, and issues.
  • Prepare succinct and clear reports on project progress on a monthly/weekly basis or as needed including plan, actual, variance, risk, and mitigation measures.


Quality Control(Primary Responsibility):

  • Manage onsite job photography.
  • Take time to understand the GC’s Quality Control plan. Work with the Project Manger to ensure the plan adheres to APLD provided specifications.
  • Manage the on-site QA/QC inspection process to drive closure of punch-list items and an expeditious turnover to Operations.
  • Develop/monitor quality program metrics to evaluate the project’s performance. Analyze metrics to understand the root cause of any problematic trends and then work with the applicable parties to correct those items.
  • Ensure contractors are adhering to site cleanliness plans and following industry best practices for Data Center construction i.e. – (no dust producing activities in critical spaces, etc)
  • Review/Management of owner provided specialty testing and inspections contractors


Site Security (Primary Responsibility):

  • Ensure the GC manages the site to the agreed upon site specific security plan.


Billing and Invoice Processing & Change Management (Primary Responsibility):

  • Assist in pay monitoring and control to ensure that the project remains within budgetary constraints. Review with the Applied Digital Project Manager change orders and pay applications from the contractor and vendors.


Commissioning & Training (Supporting Role):

  • Assist as required with Engineering team and CxA for startup and Commissioning.


Closeout & Turn-over (Primary Responsibility):

  • Coordinate with Project Manager and APLD Engineering/Turn over team to collect and review of Turnover Package for completeness and accuracy to support transition of completed projects to Operations.


Other
