Position Summary:
The Endocrinology Physician coordinates a course of treatment for patients with a variety of glandular and metabolic imbalances while working with an inter-disciplinary team of nurses, physician assistants, dieticians, surgeons, pathologists and pharmacists. The Endocrinology Physician will act as an expert in endocrine disease management and prevention.
Required Skills:
Demonstrated expertise in endocrine diagnoses: assessment, intervention, and patient care management. Knowledgeable regarding an Endocrinology Physician scope of practice.
Demonstrated experience with obesity and metabolic syndrome in a clinic setting preferred.
Fellow or certification from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists.

Local Team Collaboration:
We are a close-knit team of 50 physicians.
We welcome the challenge of complex patients who are in post-acute care environments like nursing homes and need an increased physician engagement cross-coverage model via telemedicine, and availability after hours on evenings, nights, and 24/7 on weekends and holidays.
Our providers are located across the country and can work from home while serving a much-needed population in post-acute facilities like nursing homes to prevent unnecessary ER visits and unnecessary hospitalizations.
Technology protocol, workflow, and EMR training provided.
Qualifications:
MD or DO, board-certified in IM or FM with 3 years of hospitalist experience (Additional experience in Post-Acute/SNF also welcome).
Prior experience in Telemedicine is strongly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a desire to learn.
Minimum Compact/ IMLCC, LOQ, and multiple state licenses - preferences given to candidates who have a high number of state licenses and the Compact.
Required licensure in several of the following states: TX, TN, WA, GA, IL, IN, OH, MO, MI.

This is a Full-time opportunity (120 hours/month).
Shifts are evening, overnight, and weekend hours (35% of your monthly scheduled hours will be overnight, 11 pm-11 am).
We offer a flexible schedule that is released in advance so that you can plan your other activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage cross-cover calls for Post Acute facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and Long-Term Care overnight and on weekends and holidays.
Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss practice changes or updates.
Receive comprehensive training on technology protocols, workflows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Rewards and Compensation:
Compensation: $100.00 per hour nights + RVU.
