About the role:

As a Senior Lab Technologist in Cooking Science, you will play a key role in developing appliances that meet the evolving food expectations of our consumers. You’ll translate consumer insights into technical solutions, validate performance, and contribute to innovation research and intellectual property development.

Working within the Cooking Science team, you’ll lead testing activities, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and help shape the future of cooking functionality through rigorous analysis and continuous improvement.

What you’ll do:

As a Senior Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for testing and validating cooking performance in our appliances, ensuring compliance with technical standards and consumer expectations. • Create and execute standard test plans for cooking performance
• Organize and deliver testing activities, managing your own and others’ work

Who you are:

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in office and function-specific IT tools, with Six Sigma or Kaizen experience considered a plus.
• Strong communication skills—comfortable presenting, writing technical reports, and leading meetings or demonstrations.

The Research Engineer II will support and lead semiconductor fabrication, advanced packaging, and heterogeneous integration activities within the IMS Cleanroom Facilities. This role involves hands-on process development, tool ownership, and research execution across TSV/TGV processing, electroplating, wafer thinning, planarization, CMP, and MEMS/sensor fabrication in a multi-user research environment.

The position supports collaborative research initiatives involving materials development, interconnect technologies, high-density integration, and system-level packaging solutions for next-generation electronic and sensor platforms.

Support heterogeneous integration research through materials selection, interconnect process development, and multi-layer device integration.

Develop and optimize process flows for TSV/TGV fabrication, copper electroplating and RDL formation, wafer thinning (grinding), planarization and CMP, advanced packaging integration, and MEMS/sensor fabrication.

Design and execute experimental studies, analyze process data, and establish stable, documented baselines to ensure reproducibility and reliability.

Serve as technical owner for fabrication and packaging tools (e.g., DRIE/ICP systems, electroplating systems, grinding and CMP tools, and thin-film deposition systems)

Train and support academic and industry users on cleanroom processes and equipment.

Troubleshoot process and equipment issues and coordinate maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.

The School of CSE focuses on foundational research of an interdisciplinary nature that enables advances in science, engineering, medical, and social domains. Candidates are expected to demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of students.

Duties of these positions include developing and sustaining a research program in one or more of our core areas (research) high-performance computing, data science and visual analytics, scientific computing and simulation, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and computational bioscience and biomedicine. Duties also include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses (classroom teaching), as well as providing service to the School, College and the Institute.

An earned PhD degree is required by the start date of the job, in a discipline relevant to the field of Computational Science and Engineering, including a degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Science.

About the School of Biological Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology

Undergraduate degree programs include 4-year BS and 5-year BS/MS programs in Biology and Bioinformatics. The Spatial Ecology & Paleontology Lab at Georgia Tech would like to invite applicants for a postdoctoral position. We are seeking a new member of our research community to be jointly supervised by Jenny McGuire (Georgia Tech) This postdoctoral research associate would join a vibrant team of international researchers investigating global change ecology.

Depending on the Postdocs expertise and interests, tasks will include a combination of the following:

1. Computational analysis to evaluate the climate tracking and climate fidelity of mammal and plant taxa.
2. Mentorship and research facilitation of graduate students examining the effects of arid conditions various aspects of taxonomic variety of fossils from South Appalachians.
3. Participation in a large international collaboration examining trait-environment relationships.
4. Participation in research and collaborate with internal and external partners to assess how diverse adaptation strategies such as habitat connectivity, restoration, urban planning practices, and regional partnerships can mitigate biodiversity loss and promote resilience across Georgia and beyond

A PhD in Biology or other related field

The ideal candidate would have strong interpersonal, partnering with computer scientists to collate, process, and analyze large datasets to assess ecosystem resilience and strategies to bolster ongoing biodiversity conservation practices.
