About the role:
As a Senior Lab Technologist in Cooking Science, you will play a key role in developing appliances that meet the evolving food expectations of our consumers. You’ll translate consumer insights into technical solutions, validate performance, and contribute to innovation research and intellectual property development.
Working within the Cooking Science team, you’ll lead testing activities, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and help shape the future of cooking functionality through rigorous analysis and continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
As a Senior Lab Technologist, you will be responsible for testing and validating cooking performance in our appliances, ensuring compliance with technical standards and consumer expectations. Who you are:

- Proficiency in office and function-specific IT tools, with Six Sigma or Kaizen experience considered a plus.
- Strong communication skills—comfortable presenting, writing technical reports, and leading meetings or demonstrations.
- Customer-centric, analytical, and collaborative, with a knack for problem-solving and cross-functional teamwork.

SUMMARY
We are looking for a proactive Senior Associate, Building Science Knowledge Systems, who will support and help manage projects that strengthen the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) ability to assemble, store, and disseminate codes, standards, performance criteria, and best practices in the built environment. Our goal is to make knowledge easier to access and understand so that buildings are safer, more efficient, and more innovative. This role will own defined project workstreams and support multi-stakeholder projects to ensure alignment with client goals, scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The Senior Associate will coordinate with internal team members and subcontractors, contribute to clear communication and reporting, and help ensure effective knowledge transfer across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Support planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout of assigned projects and workstreams with emphasis on building technology and innovation.
- Draft and maintain project workplans and schedules for assigned projects and workstreams.
- Support defining and documenting project scope, deliverables, KPIs, and success criteria; maintain trackers and dashboards for performance reporting.
- Support budget, schedule, and resource management for assigned projects; assist with Estimate to Complete (ETC), forecasting, and status reporting; flag variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Identify, track, and help mitigate tasks, project risks, and client relationship risks; escalate issues as needed.
- Support quality assurance activities to help ensure deliverables meet client expectations and internal standards.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities across cross-functional teams including architects, engineers, researchers, IT specialists, and subcontractors.
- Support client communications by preparing meeting materials, notes, and regular status updates; participate in client calls as needed.
- Support knowledge management practices: maintain project files, ensure accessibility of content, capture lessons learned, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities such as workshops, webinars, and technical meetings, including logistics, agendas, and follow-up.
- Monitor industry trends in digital codes & standards and AEC innovative solutions; share relevant insights and help apply best practices to project delivery.
- Surface resourcing, skill, and process gaps that may affect delivery and share recommendations with the project lead and senior leaders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting repeatable approaches, templates, and knowledge management practices; support change management activities as needed.
- Adhere to and support compliance with organizational standards, federal contracting norms, and relevant industry regulations.
- Self-manage workloads and proactively coordinate with supervisor and project lead on priorities, risks, and capacity.
- Support business development by contributing to proposal inputs, capturing client needs, and identifying organic growth opportunities through project-based relationships.
- Contribute to NIBS external presence by supporting presentations, drafting technical content, and participating in industry forums as appropriate.
SECURITY CLEARANCE

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct report responsibilities. The Senior Associate may provide task-level guidance to internal team members and contracted staff within assigned workstreams.

The College of Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley is generating an applicant pool of qualified lecturers to teach graduate courses on the Berkeley campus for the Master of Molecular Science and Software Engineering (MSSE) Program should an opening arise. We are seeking dynamic lecturers with a commitment to graduate education in computational science, data science, and software engineering to lead multiple courses each year. While the degree focuses on the molecular sciences, its content is suitable for any student pursuing software engineering or data science roles in other science-based industries, or in other areas that require advanced machine learning, complex mathematical modeling and simulations, or high-performance computing.
General Duties:
Classroom teaching and preparation, managing and mentoring graders and/or graduate student instructors (teaching assistants), holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and using Cal's electronic resources for course management.

Data Science Undergraduate Studies (DSUS) at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach DSUS courses should an opening arise. The compensation model varies depending upon the course delivery format. For a synchronous Live Online course, a reasonable estimate for this position is $3,000 -$4,000 total per course. General Duties

CDSS is seeking outstanding instructors to be appointed in the non-Senate Lecturer title series who can teach small and large courses. - Monitor peer underwriters in their daily work to ensure profitability as well as efficient and cost effective administration of the French and continental European Miscellaneous Medical & Life Sciences account.
- Monitor and supervise assistants in their daily work to ensure compliance with underwriting philosophy and policy and consistency within the team and Specialty Risks.
- Comply with Beazley's underwriting control standards for business written through Lloyd's, or Beazley's internal MGAs.

- Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience in healthcare-related insurance segments such as Miscellaneous Medical, Allied Healthcare, or Healthcare Professional Liability, including risk assessment, pricing, and portfolio management.

Salary for this role will be tailored to the successful individual's location and experience. The expected compensation range for this position is $120,000K - $160,000K per year plus discretionary annual bonus.

Position description
The Department of Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology (NST) in the Rausser College of Natural Resources at the University of California, Berkeley invites applications for a pool of qualified temporary lecturers to teach courses in Nutritional Science and related topics, should an opening arise during the academic year and in the summer. The Department of Nutritional Sciences and Toxicology focuses on the metabolic biology of nutrients and toxicants in relation to human health and disease. Our research and curriculum span a breadth of topics, from delivery of nutrients to mammalian cells and their molecular functions, through the influence of genetics on diet-associated human disease, to programs and policies that address human and environmental health and safety.
The department also offers a Master in Nutritional Sciences & Dietetics graduate program, which combines a strong foundation in the biological and chemical sciences with specialized advanced coursework that focuses on nutrient/non-nutrient function and metabolism. The application of this field informs recommendations for dietary patterns to achieve optimum health and the treatment or prevention of disease conditions as well as food production and safety.
The department typically seeks two different types of lecturer positions when available; one is to teach the courses for the Master in Nutritional Sciences & Dietetics graduate program (NST Dietetic Lecturer) and the other one is to teach the non-dietetic courses in the department (NST Non-Dietetic Lecturer). Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The number of positions varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department.
General Duties:
We are seeking outstanding lecturers who can teach/co-teach small, medium, or large lecture and/or laboratory courses. The primary responsibilities for NST Lecturer positions include:
* Delivering lectures and holding office hours
* Planning and preparing lessons; researching and developing new topics, teaching materials, and online resources
* Supervising Graduate Students Instructors (GSIs), if applicable.
* Mentoring students and contributing to departmental and program activities, if teaching in dietetics
* Coordinating lab preparations with the Teaching Lab Staff, if teaching a lab course
* Developing exams and projects and assigning grades
* Maintaining accurate records and monitoring students' progress, as well as addressing any special student needs
* Maintaining knowledge of, and implementing, college policies.

* Five years or more of professional experience in dietetics practice.
* Registered Dietitians with demonstrated ability to teach professional courses in the DPD curriculum.

* For Food Service Management instructors, the applicant should have the ServSafe Protection Manager certification.
For NST Non-Dietetic lecturers:
* Experience in teaching biological lab techniques.
