Job Description

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for improving production processes, increasing efficiency, and supporting quality and reliability initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive process improvements to increase throughput, reduce scrap, and improve equipment reliability
  • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, and standard work
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and DMAIC
  • Design and improve tooling, fixtures, and automation systems to enhance efficiency and ergonomics
  • Collaborate with Quality and Production teams to ensure process capability and product quality
  • Support new product launches, including PPAP, FMEA, and process validation
  • Optimize plant layouts and workflows to reduce waste and improve productivity

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5–10 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and GD&T
  • Familiarity with automation, vision systems, ERP, and ISO/QS standards is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
