Key responsibilities for this position include: Other duties may be assigned.

Summary: Responsible for operation and maintenance of the bulk filler machine system.

1. Perform pre-shift operational inspection to determine condition of filling machine.

2. Sets up filling machine and related equipment for product to be run.

3. Monitors filling machine during line operation to ensure proper operation and efficiency.

4. Troubleshoots and resolve operational /mechanical problems in a timely basis to ensure an efficient, smooth flow of product.

5. Monitors package seal impressions, integrity, and product giveaway.

6. Changes film in a timely manner to fashion to ensure a continuous, efficient flow of product.

7. Perform product changeover(s) as needed.

8. Performs preventative maintenance on a daily/weekly schedule as required.

9. Maintains an open line of communication with production palletizer, and lead person/supervisor.

10. Perform proper sanitation of the filler before introducing the product.

11. Continuously monitors for abnormalities or inconsistencies in the texture, shape, color, odor or foreign material in or on the product.

12. Continuously monitors for proper code date, lot number and operator code product to be packaged.

13. Familiarizes self with all standard operating procedures.

14. Continuously monitors for proper product temperature during filling.

15. Continuously monitors the cup wash, ensures that it is on and working correctly.

16. Continuously monitors the cooling spirals and investigates any problems.

17. Keeps work area neat and clean at all times.

Under the guidance of the QSHE Supervisor, the Contract Logistics Quality Inspector Team Lead oversees inspection activities to ensure they align with the company's service, quality, and cost objectives. The Quality Inspector Lead is responsible for ensuring Inspectors receive proper training and evaluations according to relevant standard procedures. This role includes managing the scheduling of an adequate number of Inspectors, including coverage for weekend shifts. The Quality Inspector Lead guarantees timely reporting of inspection findings and serves as the primary liaison between Inspectors and leadership. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am.

Essential Duties And Functions

• Oversee daily quality inspection operations, guiding and mentoring inspectors to guarantee that products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Oversee inspection activities to align with production schedules while ensuring exceptional quality, reliability, and safety standards are consistently upheld
• Identify opportunities to enhance inspection methods and strengthen quality control processes
• Ensure the proper use and maintenance of measurement and testing equipment, such as calipers and gauges
• Be the primary point of contact between the inspectors and operations staff
• Immediately report any interpersonal or staff issues to the QA Supervisor or Manager
• Provide daily direction, training, and oversight to QA Inspectors to ensure production targets are consistently achieved
• Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards while effectively managing quality documentation
• May be required to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Identify and document non-conforming materials, initiate quality Notifications in the designated system, and collaborate with the leadership team to conduct thorough root cause investigations
• Perform or oversee detailed dimensional and visual inspections on complex parts, tools and gauges using various measuring instruments

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

• Minimum Education: High school diploma, equivalent certification, or a technical degree
• Preferred Qualification: At least one year of experience in a leadership or supervisory capacity within a manufacturing or distribution center setting
• Comprehensive expertise in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances), blueprint interpretation, and precise measurement techniques
• Employees are expected to adhere to procedures introduced through on-the-job training
• Escalating potential situations to higher levels of supervision when necessary
• Identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies encountered during the receipt or completion of paperwork
• Demonstrated capability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks independently with minimal oversight
• The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in warehouse or manufacturing settings
• Computer skills, including proficiency in SAP or comparable quality management systems
• U.S. citizenship is required to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations

Job Overview:
The Sanctuary of Holy Cross, a respected long-term care facility in South Bend, is seeking an experienced MDS (Minimum Data Set) Nurse Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the MDS process to ensure timely and accurate completion for each resident in accordance with state and federal regulations. The MDS Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in assessing the clinical condition of residents, ensuring proper care planning, and maximizing Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the assessment and data collection process for the MDS, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct regular resident assessments, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and complete MDS forms within required timelines.
• Monitor and ensure accurate coding of MDS items to reflect residents' conditions.
• Participate in care planning meetings, providing recommendations based on MDS data to enhance resident care and treatment plans.
• Oversee the submission of MDS assessments to the appropriate databases (i.e., the RAI and QIES systems).
• Ensure that MDS assessments are completed in a timely manner, and provide staff training when necessary.
• Stay up to date with regulatory changes and guidelines related to MDS processes.
• Work closely with the Director of Nursing and other department heads to optimize facility reimbursement.
• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with MDS protocols and documentation standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff and a liaison to residents and families as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an MDS Coordinator in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting.
• Strong understanding of the RAI (Resident Assessment Instrument) process and care planning.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursement procedures related to MDS.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with MDS software systems and electronic health records (EHR).
• Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and provide guidance to nursing staff.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple assessments and deadlines.
