Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic recruiter who is eager to join a start-up and build a healthcare company from the ground-up. If you are passionate about finding and hiring exceptional people, then this may be the job for you! The Recruiter will be responsible for hiring top-notch clinical and non-clinical employees for our PT locations across the US to ensure we are adequately staffed in order to meet the needs of our patients. They will partner with hiring managers in order to understand staffing needs, develop workforce planning initiatives, and develop strong pipelines to reduce time to fill for all positions.

Provides compassionate and caring therapy directed toward improving cognitive, psychological, sensorimotor, developmental, and perceptual functioning.
  3. Directs and aides patients in active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, gait, and functional training using exercises, weights, steps, and inclined surfaces.
  4. Instructs patients on therapeutic procedures to be continued following release from physician's supervision in an effort to prevent regression of patient's physical condition.
  5. Adapts conventional physical therapy techniques to meet the needs of patients unable to comprehend verbal commands or voluntarily carry out a regime of therapeutic exercises.
  6. Gives whirlpool and contrast, applies modalities and topical medications, and performs sterile debridement and dressing techniques as per doctor's order.

  8. Evaluates patient functioning and abilities in order to design effective treatment plans that maximize patient care quality. Maintains high quality and accurate documentation on patient progress and goals and develops appointment schedules in a manner that maximizes the positive therapeutic impact for the patient.
  9. Observes and adheres to all departmental and hospital policies and procedures, and follows all safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards.
  10. Observes and adheres to quality standards established by the department. Participates in continuous quality improvement programs in order to foster the provision of quality health care services by the department and hospital and ensures that all services are provided with compassion, understanding, and respect for others.
  11. Utilizes all equipment, supplies, facilities, and resources in a prudent and efficient manner in order to ensure efficient departmental operations and the provision of high quality health care services.
  12. Promotes the quality and efficiency of his/her own performance through participation in staff educational programs, approved continuing education courses, and specialized skill training programs.

  14. Communicates with patient and family members in a caring and compassionate manner on issues regarding patient progress and problems, available home programs, and the therapeutic process.
  15. Monitors patient progress during therapy, records relevant information regarding therapy, and maintains frequent communications with rehabilitation team members in order to ensure that treatment plans are effective and appropriate. Attends weekly team conferences in order to actively participate in discharge planning.
  16. Participates in educational programs, in-service meetings, and training sessions in an effort to share his/her own expertise with others and further the quality of education and personal growth provided to new personnel, volunteers, and interning students.

Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Assistant provides skilled, compassionate physical therapy services under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Essential Functions


Patient Care



  • Deliver physical therapy interventions as directed by a qualified Physical Therapist and in accordance with the physician’s plan of care and the state Physical Therapy Practice Act.
  • Treat patients to help relieve pain, maintain function, and support maximum safe performance.
  • Lead patients through active and passive therapeutic exercises, muscle re-education, gait training, functional mobility activities, transfer training, and prosthetic training.
  • Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, and massage in alignment with state practice guidelines.
  • Observe and report patient responses, progress, or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist and appropriate agency personnel.
  • Instruct patients in the safe use and care of mobility and supportive devices, including wheelchairs, braces, crutches, canes, and prosthetic or orthotic devices.

Communication & Documentation



  • Document clinical notes and updates in a timely and accurate manner; ensure all documentation is incorporated into the patient’s clinical record as required.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care discussions and collaborate with the hospice care team to support coordinated service delivery.

Additional Responsibilities



  • Attend home care team meetings, in-service programs, and interdisciplinary group (IDG) meetings.
  • Participate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support high-quality patient care.

Qualifications



  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an associate degree in science or applied science (approved by APTA).
  • Meets hospice personnel qualifications per §418.114(b)(8).
  • Current PTA certification or licensure as required by state law.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile that meets organizational requirements.
