Seeking a Certified Cardiac Device Tech – Level 2 for our who possess an advanced and comprehensive knowledge of cardiac device therapy.

What you will do in this role:

Interrogate, interpret, and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision.

Trouble shoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution.

Collaborate with EP nurses, physicians, vendor representatives and non-physicians with direct patient care, device status and accurately document device analysis in EMR for review.

Educate patients on all aspects of their device including remote monitoring and follow-up protocol.

Ensure charges are accurately captured for device interrogation.

What Qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION:

High School degree or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years’ experience of Cardiovascular/Cardiology Technician required. May include multiple cardiac settings- EP lab, Cardiac Cath Lab.

Minimum of two years’ experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemakers, ICD’s, ILR’s and CRT devices of all manufacturers (Biotronik, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and Abbott/St. Jude) required

Current experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions is strongly preferred

Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and highly developed interpersonal skills.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

Certified Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Device Remote Monitoring Specialist (CDRMS) from International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) required

About this Job:

General Summary of Position
Coordinates daily functions of the practice's EP device program by serving as a primary resource for pacemaker and defibrillator programming and tracking. Provides direct patient care and database administration to assure high-quality care and service to patients with implanted EP devices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
  • Assists in the development and implementation of pre-and postoperative and discharge teaching for patients undergoing implantation of permanent pacemaker/ICD devices EP studies and radiofrequency ablations.
  • Coordinates EP Device Clinic with EP Physicians' Schedules and notifies management of potential scheduling conflicts.
  • Enrolls patients in the appropriate transtelephonic system by gathering and updating information from patient medical records and educating patients on the use of the system to ensure accurate and timely participation in the transtelephonic system.
  • Maintains a regulatory/compliance environment by following organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance to state local and federal standards and regulations.
  • Performs and reports clinical analysis of device interrogations received through the transtelephonic systems by following established protocols to provide optimal clinical treatment to patients.
  • Performs and reports pacemaker and ICD device interrogation and analysis with reprogramming as needed by following established protocols to provide optimal clinical treatment to patients. Maintains expertise as new technology becomes available including the use of new programmers and the programming of new devices.

  • Provides continuity of care for EP practice patients between appointments and after hospitalization by providing care to coordinate the effective transmission of patient-related information.

Minimal Qualifications
Education

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or Exercise Physiology program required and
  • RN or MCEP required
  • BSN preferred

Experience

  • 3-4 years Experience post graduation required and
  • 1-2 years Cardiology experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Maryland and/or DC Nursing licenses if applicable required and

Position Brief:

The Chatham Group Advanced Materials and Technologies Recruiting Team is seeking highly qualified candidates for a Medical Device Packaging Design Engineer for a client in the specialty packaging technology industry. This is a mid-junior level position that requires hands-on experience with rigid thermoformed packaging design concepts with experience in medical device packaging and sterile polymer barrier systems. You will work closely with the manufacturing engineering and quality assurance teams to deliver compliant and production ready packaging solutions for new and existing products.


Responsibilities:


  • Design medical device packaging systems from initial concept through testing and production using CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
  • Use CAD programs to develop 3D models and assemblies as well as 2D drawings for specification
  • Evaluate various polymeric materials such as PET, HIPS, Polypropylene, etc for their performance properties such as wall thickness, strength, rigidity, sterilization, and more
  • Create prototype products using existing tooling or 3D printing technologies and conduct feasibility reviews for functional integrity, stackability, etc
  • Lead the IQ/OQ/PQ product validation process and comply with ISO 13485 standards for medical device quality
  • Manage ISO 11607-1 and ISO 11607-2 compliance process for medical device packaging sterilization


Requirements:

  • BS in Packaging Engineering, Packaging Science, or Mechanical Engineering
  • 4-5 years of experience in packaging design with ideally around 2 years of experience in medical device packaging
  • High proficiency with CAD programs, particularly SolidWorks
  • Working knowledge of thin-gauge thermoformed packing design
  • Understanding of medical packaging standards, sterilization techniques, etc
  • Experience with clean room manufacturing environments


Compensation will be commensurate with experience and relocation may be provided to qualified candidates.
