Main Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical: approx. 90% of the time. Brief Consultation and ongoing therapy- Productivity expectation of a trained LBHC is an average of 8-10 behavioral health consultations.
- Consultation with PCPs to enhance understanding of the patient, provide decision support for treatment planning and assist in the implementation and monitoring of biopsychosocial treatment plans. Participate in individual supervision/consultation with immediate supervisor and/or attend clinical group supervision monthly.
- Coordination of Care – Provide consultation to and coordinate care of patients with health center primary care staff and school personnel
- Crisis Intervention: Be immediately available to the school-based staff during working hours in the event of a psychiatric emergency. Participate as a member of the health center staff in the event of any other kind of emergency.
- Administrative: approx. 10% of time.
- Charting – Completes all EMR charting within 48 hrs. as needed and required by contacted funding sources: including assessments, progress notes, and billing.
Qualifications
Education
- Master’s or doctoral degree in a Behavioral Health discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, etc.) with a valid Illinois State Licensure as appropriate to discipline.
Skills and Knowledge
Required:
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of behavior change, adult learning, and group process theories.
- Ability to conduct individual and/or group presentations
- Community resources oriented
- Computer skills (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Publisher, etc.)
Preferred:
- Prior work experience as an LCSW or LCPC in medical setting or Federally Qualified Health Center preferred.
- Prior experience working with children and adolescent patients in a school setting preferred.

Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Tech II assists with providing direct patient care, possessing an intermediate level of understanding of the behaviors of clients with substance use and mental health disorders, and displaying an ability to interact in a therapeutic manner.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- CAT required, or must be actively pursuing and have completed 25% of CAT certification requirements.
- QMAP required, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- CPR certification required.
- 1+ year of residential behavioral health experience required.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist with admits by following all steps and protocols of orientation, including conducting searches and cataloging of personal items.
- Assist in searches, inspections, checks, and investigations as part of treatment procedures.
- Align and operate within the Medical and Clinical team’s treatment plan for each client.
- Communicate and collaborate with supervisors and clinicians regarding client issues and notable progress.
- Identify emergency signals and situations and respond appropriately.
- Document client notes in appropriate systems.
- Ensure client engagement in programming and activities.
- Provide activity and appointment transportation for clients.
- Administer Urinalysis (UA) or Breath Alcohol (BA) tests as needed and document appropriately.

- Conduct medication counts.

- Create and maintain a safe, comfortable, and client-focused treatment environment by using therapeutic skills.
- Maintain strict confidentiality, HIPAA, and 42CFR Part 2 compliance.
- Adhere to facility policy and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards.
