We are currently recruiting Registered Nurses & Licensed Vocational Nurses to join our school nursing team in San Francisco!
Nurses will be required to care for medically fragile children in the local school districts. The level of care needed for each student will vary so please ensure you are comfortable working with children who have one or more of the following: ventilators, trachs, diabetes, caths and tube feedings.
In order to meet the criteria for this position Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse MUST have:
- 1 year of nursing experience
- Physical within the last year
- PPD within the last year (chest x ray will suffice if positive)
- CPR Card
- You must also be prepared to be fingerprinted.
Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Compensation:
- $35-$42/hr., depending on experience and license type

Key Responsibilities

The Division provides a full range of clinical services including living and deceased donor transplantation, acute and chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis, plasmapheresis, and CRRT. Driscoll Children’s Hospital owns and operates the only freestanding pediatric hemodialysis unit in South Texas, with a 5-station unit in Corpus Christi, and a 4-station unit in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, supported by a team of experienced dialysis nurses, and a dedicated dietitian, social workers, child life specialist services. Driscoll Children’s Hospital is an active member and participant in NAPRTCS, SCOPE, Midwest Pediatric Nephrology Consortium, CKiD, and has recently joined IROC.

Job Duties
- Perform a series of manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system.
- Evaluate the functioning of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the spine using systems of chiropractic diagnosis.
- Diagnose health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and interpreting x-rays.
- Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
- Advise patients about recommended courses of treatment
- Analyze x-rays in order to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
- Counsel patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, and other matters.
- Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken
- Consult with and refer patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary.
- Suggest and apply the use of supports such as straps, tapes, bandages, and braces if necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

This individual is invested in the health and wellbeing of young children across developmental domains including physical, cognitive, language, social & emotional and adaptive development at CHS. They will lead the early intervention/identification and evaluation process and will support instructional staff in identifying and implementing supports for behavioral and developmental concerns. This individual will also oversee efforts to understand the medical and developmental history of each student as well as assisting with any behavioral or developmental concerns, including completing a plan to recommend relevant interventions when necessary. They will lead the Center Child Study team in situations which require additional intervention and will be responsible for collecting and organizing data and information to inform referrals and work with child study team to recommend the next steps for the child. The Evaluation & Education Support Coordinator will report to the Health Services Manager. The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $69,344 per year, based on expertise.
Responsibilities:
* Understanding the most updated standards of child assessment and evaluation, and planning and coordinating screening and evaluation schedules with teachers, families, or sponsors to support child needs
* Assisting in the evaluation process for behavioral concerns and serve as a resource to staff by disseminating research regarding intervention tools and techniques to all who work with the child
* Observing and recording behavioral concerns for identified children and working with Teachers to document behavior
* Researching and recommending tools to support children's access to the curriculum who have developmental delays and other special rights. Organizing data of relevant children for further assessment

Qualifications:
