Job Description:

Leads Kawasaki training efforts in the field, including:

Drafts training materials based on vendor data, draft manuals and on-car observation

Verifies that all applicable FRA requirements are fulfilled, including those under

49CFR 238.109.

Proofreads and edits vendor documents to ensure Training Materials are complete

and up-to-date.

When multiple KRC Instructors are used in a given course, the Lead Instructor will

clearly delineate the specific area(s) of responsibility for each person.

The Lead Technical Trainer will be responsible for all logistical requirements,

including the necessity to have support personnel in place at a given time, with all

required tools and consumables.

Ensures vendors and subcontractors maintain quality requirements by closely

observing vendor classroom activities.

Delivers KRC training classes including familiarization, FRA requirements,

subsystem integration and interface.

Provides consistent point-of-contact between KRC, vendors and the Authority.

Writes letters to KHI, vendors and Authorities as directed.

Coordinates Training classes at Authority sites.

Verifies proper documentation and equipment are available at the site.

Contacts Engineering Department technical personnel to get answers to participant's

questions..

Updates and ensures all contract Training Deliverables are turned over to the

Authority at the required time.

Assists in designing the course curricula and working schedules for new contracts.

Presents written evaluations of course and Instructor effectiveness after each course.

Assists Manager of Training and Manuals and Assistant Manager of Training with

staff. Development.

Education:

BA or BS degree required.

Formal technical training (i.e. Military Electronic Courses) a plus.

Qualifications:

Minimum, five (5) years experience conducting technical training. Prior rail car

experience strongly preferred.

Flexible approach to problem solving in the field.

Able to travel a minimum of 20%.

Able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Adobe FrameMaker and/or Vector

graphics (CorelDraw, Adobe Illustrator or AutoCAD) experience a plus.

We are seeking a wastewater treatment operator in Napa County, CA.

100% paid benefits medical, dental, and vision for employee and 2/3 of healthcare costs for family 401K 11 paid holidays + 1 floating holiday of your choosing 80 hours sick pay each year 80 hours vacation each year (accrued 6.68/month) Job Details Provide support to the Supervising Operator Maintain logs of daily activities Perform field duties related to installing, repairing, and maintaining water/wastewater systems.

Provide janitorial services as directed Provide landscaping maintenance as required Assist in road maintenance and repair Repair basic equipment such as chemical feed pumps, water pumps, etc.

Repair water leaks on mainline and service lines Assist with flushing of sanitary system and clearing of blocked sewer lines Perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles Read water meters Perform routine weekend checks of Facilities Recognize and follow safe water conditions in all job duties performed Perform other duties or special projects as directed by the supervisor Occasional travel may be required Performs skilled and semi-skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of the water treatment plant EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS California Water Treatment Certification Grade II or higher (required) California Water Distribution Certification Grade II or higher (required) California Wastewater Treatment Certification Grade II or higher (required) Possession of a valid California Driver’s License (Class C), with a clean driving record Knowledge of basic equipment and vehicle maintenance Above average computer and GPS skills (working knowledge of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) A positive can-do attitude, team player, and independent worker Good written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications California Wastewater Treatment Certification Grade I or higher Interested in hearing more? Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions to provide recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, slope stability, and earthworks.

Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and construction recommendations.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, and environmental engineers.

Oversee geotechnical aspects of construction, including inspections and field observations.

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations as well as project specifications.

Mentor junior staff and contribute to maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) in Civil Engineering required; Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California required.

5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience (consulting or construction-related experience preferred).

Proficiency with geotechnical analysis software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, gINT) a plus.

Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
