The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting corporate attorneys, with a keen understanding of legal terminology, corporate law, and legal proceedings.

This role will require you to be the backbone of our legal team, handling a variety of responsibilities that are integral to our operations.

The successful candidate will be able to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management by providing legal services under the supervision of an attorney.

Responsibilities: 1.

Assist with the preparation, filing, and management of corporate legal documents, including contracts, resolutions, and legal memos.

2.

Conduct thorough statistical/ documentary research.

3.

Source and verify important case intelligence.

4.

Produce and file various legal documents such as appeals, motions or petitions.

5.

Attend trials and type minutes.

6.

Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.

7.

Support attorneys in a legal office, managing case files, drafting reports, preparing for trials, and assisting with case management.

8.

Liaise with clients and opposing counsel, maintaining professionalism and discretion at all times.

9.

Provide administrative support to lawyer and enhance office effectiveness.

10.

Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc.

Qualifications: 1.

Proven experience as a paralegal, with a minimum of 6 years in a similar role.

2.

Strong experience in legal research, legal writing, case management, and litigation support.

3.

Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures.

4.

Full comprehension of the influences of the external environment of a corporation.

5.

Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.

6.

High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.

7.

Excellent judgement and analytical skills.

8.

First class interpersonal and communication skills.

9.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

10.

Paralegal certification or law degree preferred.

11.

Proficiency in English.
