Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced estimator with a strong civil/sitework background who can also support general construction estimating. This role is hands-on and in-office, working closely with operations and field leadership to produce accurate, competitive bids.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for:
• Asphalt paving and concrete flatwork
• Earthwork, grading, excavation, site demolition
• Storm, sanitary, and water utilities
• Small GC work (build out, tenant improvements)
• Estimate select general construction scopes
• Foundations, slabs, small structures, renovations
• Painting (exterior, interior)
• Perform quantity takeoffs and build detailed cost models.
• Review plans, specs, addenda, and geotechnical reports.
• Identify scope gaps, risks, and constructability issues.
• Solicit and level subcontractor and supplier pricing.
• Participate in bid reviews and pricing strategy meetings.
• Write proposals with detailed scopes of work.
• Support clean turnover from estimating to operations.
• Generate subcontracts and purchase orders post bid award.
• Assist with post-construction auditing of final versus plan quantities.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating experience in civil/sitework construction
• Strong knowledge of earthwork, utilities, asphalt, and concrete
• Ability to estimate general construction scopes
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (required)
• Ability to read civil, architectural, and structural drawings
• Detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven
• Comfortable working in-office and collaborating with field teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with self-perform contractors
• Unit-price and lump-sum estimating experience
• PlanSwift takeoff software experience or similar
• Earthwork takeoff software experience (Agtek, InSight, or similar)

Position Summary

We’re seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support project teams and help ensure builds are delivered on time, on budget, and with the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to understand scope and identify any gaps or discrepancies.
• Support material, labor, and equipment take-offs, assist with quantity verification and preliminary cost estimates.
• Support scheduling: help develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, and coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and design/engineering teams to keep work aligned.
• Manage project documentation: maintain logs for RFIs, submittals, change orders, subcontracts, permits, and daily/weekly reports.
• Assist with cost control: track costs vs. budget, monitor change-order requests, support procurement, and help forecast cost-to-complete estimates.
• Facilitate communication among all stakeholders — owners, architects/engineers, subcontractors, trade-partners, and internal team members — to ensure collaboration and smooth workflow.
• Support quality assurance and compliance: verify that work adheres to project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in project meetings, site visits, inspections, and coordinate close-out documentation at project completion.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in commercial construction, general contracting, or construction management, preferably with exposure to estimating, takeoffs, and subcontractor coordination.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Proficiency with construction management and documentation tools/software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review and determine course of action on each file assigned, utilizing technical knowledge and experience for the purpose of supporting final disposition of a loss
• Conduct thorough investigations and keep accurate and relevant documentation of file activity on each claim assigned including coverage liability, status and damages that are applicable for each claim
• Honor/decline/negotiate first and third-party liability claims upon completion of coverage/policy investigation and analysis of damages and liability
• Work directly with internal and external customers to develop evidence and establish facts on assigned claims
• Organize, plan and prioritize work activities to keep up with current assignments and to ensure prompt conclusion of claims
• Prepare and present claim evaluations for the appropriate settlement authority
• Notify the Underwriting Department of any adverse information uncovered in the course of the investigation
• Familiarity with unfair claim practices in states where we do business
• Conduct business with vendors in a professional manner while maintaining a reasonable expense factor and upholding the company's reputation for quality service
• Provide customer service both to internal and external customers
• Handle other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

• Minimum 2-3 years previous auto insurance or other auto related experience A MUST!
• Non-Standard Auto claims handling experience a plus!
• Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal and communication (verbal, written, phone) skills
• General working knowledge of policies, file procedures, state rules and regulations
• Ability to pass written examinations where required by state statutes to become a licensed Claims Adjuster

Job purpose

A Project Manager provides overall management direction to multiple projects, establishes project objectives and policies, maintains liaison with prime client contracts, and monitors construction and financial activities through administrative direction of on-site construction manager. May be top on-site manager on large, extensive projects. Ensures projects are completed within timeline and budgetary requirements.

Duties and responsibilities

• Responsible for managing and directing the project team through communication, coordination and follow up necessary to meet project goals and objectives.
• Establish and maintain customer relationships.
• Responsible for project start up, project completion and close out process.
• Develops Critical path schedule and maintains updates throughout the duration of the project.
• Authorizes correspondence to both Owner and Subcontractor when required, acting as primary liaison with Owner over contract matters.

• Has overall responsibility for profitability of entire job.
• Prepares and submits contract documentation including:

• Final Contract documents required by Owner including DBE final documentation, Consent of Surety, etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-10 years practical experience as a Project Manager, road construction industry preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• Project Manager Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
• Proficient in MS Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings.
• Experience using project management and/or scheduling software.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; solid speaking, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Outstanding customer relationship management skills; must be able to work with many other stakeholders to manage project requirements.

Working conditions

The working conditions for this job entail a combination of working in an office setting and working in the field. Offsite jobsite visits include working outdoors in various weather conditions including extreme heat and cold with exposure to loud noises and equipment with moving parts. May require evening and weekend work on a regular basis during periods of heavy workload.

Physical requirements

Incumbent is required to sit and stand for extended periods of time, as well as operate a motor vehicle. Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.

Primary Purpose of Position

Responsible for execution of turbine generator outage execution project teams to support safe, reliable, and efficient outage activities consistent with Constellation and Clean Energy Center (CEC) goals. Implements standardization of outage processes and procedures across assigned Constellation CECs. Reinforces standards and expectations for Outage Planning & Services personnel and other personnel who interface with Outage Planning & Services to establish an error free and professional work environment. Always enforce procedure use and adherence, Human Performance (HU) fundamentals, Technical Human Performance (THU) techniques, and provide coaching and mentoring as necessary to achieve continuous improvement.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

• Perform development of detailed plans, identification and assignment of personnel, and development of detailed work scope.
• Develop scope schedule and budget with the life cycle cost management system.
• Apply expert knowledge in execution of refueling outage services at assigned CEC. Provide primary communication with client CEC management and major vendor service organization.
• Direct project completion and close out of financial and technical documentation. Provide fiscal data and promote fiscal accountability among all project participants
• Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives and promoting these improvement initiatives among all project participants at CECs.
• Responsible to effectively communicate technical, financial, and work progress status to all levels of corporate and CEC management.
• Reinforce appropriate fundamental behaviors in area of assigned responsibility. Includes administering coaching, mentoring, and performance management for managers and employees

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8 years of power generation experience OR
• Associate's degree with 10 years of power generation experience OR
• High school diploma/GED with 12 years of power generation experience
• Demonstrated leadership in a minimum of 3 refueling outages
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) you will perform aviation-based law enforcement operations for the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, terrorist weapons, and other contraband and persons from illegally entering or attacking the United States. Typical duties include:

• Conducting air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities related to the interdiction of smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels.
• Monitoring behavior patterns and activities of suspect persons, vehicles, or vessels believed to be engaged in illegal activities.

Salary and Benefits

Begin your career as an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA) and make up to $85,270 to - $110,846 per year based on your qualifications for the GS-11 grade level and possible extra compensation based on your duty location (see below).

Qualifications

Experience:You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized professional aviation experience performing duties such as:

• Flying as a Pilot-in-Command or sole manipulator in an airplane and helicopter in all environments of flight, including night, poor weather, unfavorable terrain, low altitudes, or speed.
• Evaluating information rapidly and making judicious decisions promptly during in-flight operations.

FAA Class 2 medical required for assessment dated within the last 12 calendar months; FAA Class 1, FAA Class 2 or Military medical flight clearance dated within the last 12 months qualifies to start the pre-employment process for the AIA position.

Apply at 750 hours total time: Applicants applying at 750 flight hours are required to obtain at least 1,000 flight hours (depending on the number of hours approved for a waiver) at their own expense before being able to attend the 3-part flight assessment. Applicants must still meet 250 Pilot-in-Command, 75 instrument, and 75-night hours (100 flight hours in the last 12 months. This qualification requirement is currently being waived by OPM through August 4, 2026)

UAS Flight Hours:Applicants may include UAS Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) flight hours and Predator A (MQ-1), Predator B (MQ-9) or predator-based flight hours. These hours may be credited towards satisfying the ""Total flight time"" 1,500 flight hour requirement only. UAS hours do not count towards the 250 flight hours as a Pilot in Command, 75 flight hours Instrument, and 75 flight hours Night. Flight hour logbooks will be required at the time of your Flight Assessment for verification.

Other Requirements

Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (includes protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.

Age Requirement: Provisions of Public Laws 93-350 and 100-238 allow the imposition of a maximum age for initial appointment to a primary Law Enforcement Officer position within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In accordance with DHS Management Directive 251-03, the ""day before an individual's 37th birthday"" is the maximum age for original appointment to a position as a primary law enforcement officer within DHS. The age requirement is also necessary to ensure that you are able to complete the 20 years of applicable service for retirement.

NOTE: The Commissioner of CBP has approved a temporary increase in the maximum allowable age to 40 for original placement into an Air Interdiction Agent position.

Age Waiver: Creditable law enforcement officer service -Covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d), or creditable service covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8401(36) (as a Customs and Border Protection Officer) on or after July 6, 2008, may be applied toward the maximum age requirement. This age restriction may not apply if you are currently serving in a federal civilian (not military) law enforcement position covered by Title 5 U.S.C. 8336(c) or Title 5 U.S.C. 8412(d).

Veterans' Preference Eligibility: To ensure compliance with statutes pertaining to the appointment of preference eligible veterans as determined by the Merit Systems Protection Board in its decisionIsabellav.Dept of State,the maximum age for original appointment articulated above shall not apply to the hiring of individuals entitled to veterans' preference eligibility under 5 U.S.C. 3312. You must submit proof of Veteran's Preference (DD-214 Member 4 Copy) at the time of application.

Training:This position has a training requirement. You may be required to successfully complete the training requirement as a condition of employment. Failure to successfully complete the required course(s) of training in accordance with CBP standards and policies will result in placement into either a former or different position, demotion, or separation as determined by management and appropriate procedures.

Travel Required: You may be expected to travel for this position based on operational needs.
